KINGPIN is a full-flavored, red-colored ale that uses a rarely-grown Willamette Valley Hop varietal known as Liberty Hops from fourth generation hop farmer John Annen of Annen Bros. Farm in Silverton, Oregon. Jeff and his team of brewers also used rye and caramel malt leading to a unique flavor profile; triple-hopped for bitter aroma and a unique dry-hopped character.

IBU 65. A very hoppy amber. Carmel in color. Creamy head that dissipates somewhat quickly. Not a strong aroma. Packs a punch for a red ale. Bitter. Good aftertaste. Best very cold ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

This one’s a conundrum. Looks great, smells funky (somebody mentioned ethanol), taste is both strong malt and hops. The smell is a little off-putting, and the taste is a little getting used to, but I can sense what the brewer was trying to do. Might be better on tap...decent

Bottle. Clear light brown, malty and very light pine hop aroma, very juicy and clean on the palate with lingering malty notes. Taste is mostly bitter but with some pine in there and an ash finish. Weird, good, very enjoyable.

A mostly pleasing aroma with just a whiff of ethanol. Not as off putting as it sounds. The taste is dry but juicy at the same time. A quick drop in bitterness and a somewhat tingly sensation at the end ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

I don’t know enough about American Strong as a category, but it seems that this might be classified differently. Pours red gold, nice pillowy white head. Moderate aromas - floral, yeast, hops. Taste is very well balanced and subtle - a gentle bitter, with a neutral malt framework. Good substance, a little chewy, I fond it to be very drinkable.
