Slightly cloudy yellow colour with a small white head.
Very mild citrusy aroma.
The flavour is dry malt and some mild hops. Easy... very easy.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Hazy yellow with a white head. Lemony sweet aroma with nice light bread malt. Flavor has that lemon sourness without being puckering. Sweet background with a super crispy finish. One of the more flavorful and enjoyable Golden ales Iíve had. Tops. (#2200 completely by accident)

Bottle. Hop Hideout, Sheffield. Murky, grey gold colour. Scum of off white head. A looker it ainít. Smells good, though. Some pink grapefruit. Melon skin. Some mineral. A little lemon tang. Something like lavender in there, maybe. Taste is light bitter. Soft sweet. Palate is zesty, and fairly crisp. A little of the lemon. Finishes minerally dry, with a short, zesty bitterness. A bit unusual with the tang thing going on, but very chuggable.

Keg at the brewpub, PDX, 09/11/14 golden blonde - YAY!
Very lightly hazed pale golden with a decent off white top that dissipates and retains as a respectable covering.
Nose is light floral, citric notes, lemon peel, grassy.
Taste compeises much the same, more lemon/citric notes, straw.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close.

Iím not a fan of the Hillsboro Hops (Emeralds fan here), and Iím not a fan of the beer either. It has a lot of airiness to it, which is good for hitting a homerun, you want a lot of air underneath the ball, but not when it comes to your beer. This Golden Ale is very light, and yes, full of air. With each drink I feel my lungs filling up with gas, and I can barely drink a
mouthfull to get a proper taste. Too much carbonation, I suppose. I am, however, a big fan of the Hops logo.

Color, appearance and aroma are fine. Several flavors are present while drinking, none of them good.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pours two fingers of head on a cloudy pale straw colored body.
The aroma is pine and lemondrops. Nice.
The taste has a mild lemon bitterness throughout, some mild sweetness balances it out well.
The texture is crisp, a little fizzy.
A solid ale.

2.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
UPDATED: OCT 2, 2014 (Tap) Hmm. The taste goes through 3 stages: first is light and simple, then a nice slightly rich sweetness, but finally it finishes kind of gross. Not a good beer.

On tap at Bridgeport, pours a cloudy blonde with a small white head. Aroma of dry citrus hops and dry crackery malt. Flavour is rather dry and bland, with bland crackery malts and a little dry hops. Boring as fuck but okay.
