COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Triple-hopped light bodied summertime-style brew with the body of the beer completely from BridgePort’s regular high-color pale malt which gives a subtle pleasant biscuit-like malt flavor. Beer mainatins a smooth bittering profile at an easy-to-drink 28 IBUs. The Meridian dry hops create an aroma and flavor that is very distinctive and reminiscent of sweet Meyer lemons.

Keg at the brewpub, PDX, 09/11/14 golden blonde - YAY! Very lightly hazed pale golden with a decent off white top that dissipates and retains as a respectable covering. Nose is light floral, citric notes, lemon peel, grassy. Taste compeises much the same, more lemon/citric notes, straw. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Adequate GB.

I’m not a fan of the Hillsboro Hops (Emeralds fan here), and I’m not a fan of the beer either. It has a lot of airiness to it, which is good for hitting a homerun, you want a lot of air underneath the ball, but not when it comes to your beer. This Golden Ale is very light, and yes, full of air. With each drink I feel my lungs filling up with gas, and I can barely drink a mouthfull to get a proper taste. Too much carbonation, I suppose. I am, however, a big fan of the Hops logo.

Color, appearance and aroma are fine. Several flavors are present while drinking, none of them good.

Pours two fingers of head on a cloudy pale straw colored body. The aroma is pine and lemondrops. Nice. The taste has a mild lemon bitterness throughout, some mild sweetness balances it out well. The texture is crisp, a little fizzy. A solid ale.

UPDATED: OCT 2, 2014 (Tap) Hmm. The taste goes through 3 stages: first is light and simple, then a nice slightly rich sweetness, but finally it finishes kind of gross. Not a good beer.

On tap at Bridgeport, pours a cloudy blonde with a small white head. Aroma of dry citrus hops and dry crackery malt. Flavour is rather dry and bland, with bland crackery malts and a little dry hops. Boring as fuck but okay.

22 oz bomber bought from Winco in S.Salem. $5.18 Pours a nice bright gold ,slightly hazy with a nice thick and frothy slightly off white head. Nice hoppy beer aroma. Typical but nice., mainly nice floral and piney hop. Slight caramel malt aroma. Taste is well balanced between the caramel malts and the hops with the hops slightly ahead. Pleasant taste . OK mouthfeel average for style. Rolls easily across the tongue. Nice drinkable blonde ale.
