COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Nightcap was created to mirror traditional liqueur or spirit nightcaps enjoyed in hopes of warming cold toes and noses prior to a long winter slumber. A malt driven brew, Nightcap begins with the enjoyable bitterness of Chinook hops and finishes with strong hints of vanilla. BridgePort brewers aged 33-percent of the brew in Makers Mark oak barrels for nearly a year – evidenced in the warm and spicy undertones of the brew. Because of its unusual aromatic scent, it is recommended that Nightcap be enjoyed in a tulip glass to allow for the full fragrance to escape.

22oz bomber: Appearance is a very dark root beer brown with a quick fading off white head. Aroma is of oak and some malty notes also. Flavor is decently well balanced with the oak and mixed in will a strong ale. Not a very complex beer, and I can’t really justify the price tag, but it’s not half bad.

Dark auburn color with medium white smooth head. Malty and nutty aroma with root beer notes. Light malty flavor with some oakiness, orange peel, and ginger and finishing with some spruce hopiness. Wish I could taste some more bourbon.

Bomber from Bottleworks. Pours dark amber with a creamy/foamy light beige head. Aroma is sort of cooked fruit/veg. Sweet. Attractive. Med - body. Flavor is unusual. Very fruity/veg with some vanilla and bitter. Made be think of bourbon and orange. It’s not really bitter, but it’s not excessively sweet either. Quite tasty.

Majestic mahagony-amber brew with luxurious, creamy burnt caramel, hop-pocked head. Diversified malt nose with only subtle hints and feint jabs of bourbon wrinkles--mostly of the vanillin and soft, dry oak variety. Bubblegum aroma intensifies with some aeration. Again, a complex malt backbone provides structure. The body seems more winy than bourbon. Wet oaky and fruit flavors enrap the malt. Sweet and sugary vein throughout and on the finish. Estery pieces throughout. Interesting.

Sampled on 3/12/2011. This English Strong Ale pours a medium brown color from a 22oz bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is fruity, caramel, and sweet with a touch of spices. A medium bodied English Strong Ale. The malts are caramel, fruity and sweet. The hops are herbal and earthy. Touch of holiday spices, some wood and some bourbon. Touch of oak tannins. Good carbonation. A nice solid drinkable winter ale. Nice Sipping beer. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

22oz Bomber – Gravity Beer Market – Olympia, WA
Dark amber in color, clear with a thin head. Nice Floral hops and malt aromas. Balanced flavor nice caramel and dark malt flavors. The hops balance well. This was a nice drinking brew. The alcohol strength was light in my opinion.
