The Oak Aged Honey Porter is the darkest beer that BridgePort has ever made. Brewed with the perfect blend of roasted malts and actual honey and then aged on oak, this easy drinking beer rings in at a surprising 7% ABV. A well balanced beer full of coffee flavors, the Oak Aged Honey Porter pairs well with crackling fireplaces and awkward Christmas Sweaters.

On tap a World of Beer SMU. Poured a opaque black with a thin khaki top and a small amount of lacing. I tasted notes of sweet honey, roasted malt, oak, and a subtle amount of chocolate. Well carbonated, medium body. Very easy to drink!

On tap at City Beer. Pours near black with an attractive tan head and a chocolate and treacle aroma. There is a medium-bodied dark molasses flavor with a hint of chocolate and a dry slightly bitter finish.

Draught. Pours a near black color with a very small tan head on it. Nose is characteristically roasty, with the namesake oak and honey elements to this being salient. Taste is slightly sweet up front, yet finishes slightly bitter from the roasting. Very smooth brew. Nice stuff.

Black pour from draft at Jaks. Beige sticky head. Aroma is sweet and honey chocolate. Taste is milky cocoa and honey. Burnt flavor too. Pretty tasty beer

Tap @ HAF 2013... Poured near black with a thick, frothy, tan head. Oak, char and even smoke came through here. Sweet with a faint hint of honey. Roasted malts, a little too roast for style. More char and toasted grains in the finish.
