No. 013 Bottling from a 22 oz bottle.
Thin head on a hazy, copper colored body.
The aroma is rich and deep: grain, bread and woody, like oak.
The taste is complex. It starts out woody, deep malt sweetness, bitterness in the middle, finishes candy sweet.
Smooth texture, low carbonation and heavy body.
A complex and deeply flavorful beer.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
On draught at St. Johns Winter Beer Festival. Definitely tame for a barleywine, with a mellowed hop presence. Pleasing malt taste though.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Tap @ Holiday Ale Fest 2012... Poured deep amber with a beige head. Dark malts and noticeable hops on the nose. Some bitterness with leafy, herbal, earthy hops and a thick malt sweetness. A little drying towards the finish. Not much of an oak presence in this oak aged version. Still, a nice barleywine.
