Copper color, medium head. A medium bodied pale ale. Malty and aggressively hopped. Smooth lighter flavor. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is crisp and clean. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 drismyhero (815) - Tacoma, Washington, USA - AUG 25, 2002
Disappointing. The tastes behind this Bridgeport are rather confusing. I wasn’t sure for a while if I was drinking a pilsner or not, but this says it’s a blond....hmmmm....it’s roots are showing. This had a very distinct lager taste to me: the very pervasive, slightly unappetizing maltiness that just kind of sits there while the hops tease your toungue and give you just enough flavor to wonder where the hell the rest of it is. Not a terrible blond, but surely not one I’m going to run out and purchase any time soon.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 Aubrey (3192) - Bellingham, Washington, USA - AUG 17, 2002
Clear amber with a decent head. Crisply carbonated up front, somewhat thin bodied in the middle, and then dry in the finish. Very light tasting. Lacks depth of any sort. Some medicinal qualities which I didn’t care for. Being from such a great brewery, I was expecting something more.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 TAR (2236) - Lafayette, Colorado, USA - JUN 1, 2002
UPDATED: DEC 17, 2003 Pours with a very creamy and consistent head, with tiny bubbles. The aroma is crystal malt abundance, freshly toasted biscuits, with underlying vinous notes suggesting tropical fruits (mangos). The tiny bubbles provide a very crisp and semi-full edge to the palate. Initially, the hops try to make an appearance before the crystal malt assault. This has striking similarities to Fat Tire, which, at best, provides for a good session beer. On the other hand, this is about as good as an English-style pale can be. Note: This is not bottle conditioned, as are their other beers.
3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 KingPinHead (390) - Des Moines, Washington, USA - MAY 22, 2002
This is a relatively light brew, appropriate for the summer season. It is balanced slightly towards a hoppy bias, with a medium dry finish. There is nothing really distinctive about this brew, but this one definitely makes a good ’starter’ for a relaxing drinking session.

A fairly light ale, but very drinkable if you like the type.
