Word from the brewmaster at the brewpub is that this recipe is the one now used for ESB. So: Cask at the brewpub at the brewery. Clean caramel aroma. Clear dark amber color. Off-white head that sticks around. Soft, luscious, fruity, malty with floral/fruity hop. The bitter balancing the malt does not seem to be pine or citrus. Fresh floral/fruity finish, hints of malt here at the end, mild bitter, and some possible citrus sour at the back of the mouth. Fantantastic.

They now call this Pintail Copper Ale. Bright and clear amber hue. Smooth malt aroma. Very carbonated, uneventful flavors though. Not much here... missing so much. Makes me wonder what the point is.

Tap@Bridgeport. Slightly stronger in flavour than the Blue Herron. Lemony and bready, hoppy, medium bitter finish.

Golden beige amber. Light head and average lacing. Light hop aroma with some DMS. Malt & hop flavors, nothing special. Wet and musky finish. This is a session, not a winter one.

Head is initially average sized, frothy, off-white, mostly diminishing. Body is clear dark yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (cookie), moderately hoppy (grapefruit). Flavor is moderately sweet, moderately acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, moderately acidic, moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation, lightly astringent. Pretty basic, aromatically hoppy APA.

Copper color, medium head. A medium bodied pale ale. Malty and aggressively hopped. Smooth lighter flavor. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is crisp and clean. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

Bottle. Amber colored. This beer just takes up space on the shelf. There's nothing to draw you to it and definately nothing to make you want more. It's boring.
