On tap at the Brewpub, a tasty chocolate porter with some nice hoppy bite, roasty and malty and good. One of my favorite brews from this brewery.

This is a decent london-style brown porter in a world where london-style brown porters can be harder and harder to find. On tap at the brewery, it poured a nice dark brown with slight ruby highlights and a nice two finger head of light-tan foam. It has a medium roasted aroma with notes of chocolate and a bit of fruity esters. The medium roasted aroma comes through in the flavor as it is not as big or as bold as many a robust porter nor does it have the sharp acridness in that of a stout. The roast instead becomes part of the background along with a subtle nutty note along with a hint of earthy, yeasty quality. What’s great about this beer is the relative absence of a sharp caramel or candy-like sweetness. This seemingly keeps it a bit lighter on the palate and more drinkable.

Ok at best... Guess I’m more of a stout guy. Maybe a strange aftertaste? Not sure, but for whatever reason not 100% sold

Sampled on nitro at the brewery. Poured black with a cream colored head. Nice mix of coffee and chocolate. A great beer to pair with dessert.

On nitro at the brewpub - Black guinness looks. Stiff, sweet nose with roasted malts and light but not unpleasant metallic tickles. Very fruity and sweet. Raisins and dried bananas with little to no hop character and bitterness. A weird beer, not bad but kind of uncatagorisable. Yeast-centric.

Draught@Bridgeport Brewing
Dark opaque black color, good steady creamy cafe latte head. Toasted malty aroma. Medium-bodied. Licorice, light coffee, candies, light herbal hoppyness and toasted malts. Nice licoricey porter. Earlier Rating: 7/9/2011 Total Score: 3.1 Draught@BridgePort Brewing
Not 100 % sure about the name, this is what I heard from the waitress and it was a new seasonal. Dark opaque brown color, small beige head. Caramelly, ashy, toasted candy aroma with hints of mint and coffee. Light to medium-bodied. Tobacco and cold coffee in the flavor. Dry coffeish-ashy finish and aftertaste.
