a dark, rich, indulgent brew. It owes its taste to select Goldings and Magnums hops. This generous blend is then naturally conditioned in the bottle or keg an additional three weeks to create a roasted flavor.

I thought this was a pretty darn good beer. Not top flight for its still but very underrated as it appears on this site. Really good dark, roasty flavor, a decent porter.

Tap. Opaque appearance. Some nice woody maltiness throughout. Hints of smoke and dark malts. Burnt aroma, very rustic and nice.

Tap@Bridgeport. Good one. Really well balanced and moreish. Teases the tongue. Toasty caramel, bread, dry finish, well done.

Reddish brown with fading fizzy head and some lace. The aroma hints of fruits, roasted malts, and smoke, faint. The taste hints of cherry and berry, hazelnut, and biscuit malts. Some lactic and grassy undertones with smoke on the finish. Lacks depth and the mouthfeel is watery and fizzy. A below average porter, just missing a little of everything.

Lighter color than average, with a red hue. Roasted and toasty, though not in excelsis. Drunkably warm to the tastebuds, alcohol notes shining perhaps a bit too prominantly for my taste. (on tap, BridgePort BrewPub, Portland)

nice dark brown color, small tan head that lasted for a decent time.Malty, fruity aroma with a nice sweet side to it.Roasty and malty with a nice chocolate and maybe a hint of coffee.sweet and nicely light in feal with a slight alcohol presence showing through but nothing to harsh.Very nice and highly drinkable brew that is well worth getting.

Pours a nice ruby/black cherry/mahogany with a light caramel head. Lovely, but that's where it ends. The nose is good with a mildly roasted sweet coffee aroma, but the flavor does not deliver. The beer seems thin and flavors are far from lingering. Really disappointing porter.

Very deep ruby color with an off-white head. Sweet caramel aroma. Mild sweet caramel, chocolate and coffee flavors. Smooth yet bubbly feel.
