COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
a dark, rich, indulgent brew. It owes its taste to select Goldings and Magnums hops. This generous blend is then naturally conditioned in the bottle or keg an additional three weeks to create a roasted flavor.

UPDATED: NOV 3, 2009 [needs rerate] I’m not a big porter fan, but this one was suprisingly flavorful. Nice full body, slightly sweet flavor of cherries and wood.

UPDATED: MAR 8, 2003 Translucent brown in color. Head large at first tehn collapsing to a thin layer of small bubbles. Sweet caramelized, yeast, cereal aroma accented by some hops. Overly carbonated and light body. Sourish finish. Not interesting and not very drinkable because of the overcarbonation.

Very nice creamy, frothy head. sweet smelling, but not too impressive. Strong roasted barley finish, which really made me want another sip.

UPDATED: FEB 23, 2003 the bottle smoked like the hot barrel of a sniper's rifle..when poured, a tannish head rose but fell just as fast...roasty and toasty aroma..tad vegginess and some coffee tones...toasted nuts flavor..there was something else about the flavor that i didn't like..it had a lagerish finish..kind of stale tasting..and..I dont know..rather boring..
