2.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pours a redíish gold with little head, much more pleasant nose than I was expecting given some of the reviews. Very chuggable session beer with a light body but a zinger of an aftertaste. The aftertaste is what hurts it, but luckily itís very short lived. As far as rye beers go, Sierra Nevadaís Ruthless Rye is still the one to beat. This one falls short, specifically in the danky aftertaste. Not upset itís in my pick-6, but had I gotten a 6íer I wouldnít be so happy about it. This will not be a repeat purchase, too many better choices out there. Not a drain poor, but a chore to drink.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle from Whole Foods, Sacramento. Pours dark amber with a thick beige head and a spice and chocolate aroma. There is a bitter rye malt flavor with some chocolate. The individual tastes donít blend very well.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Pours a clear red copper with fine off-white head. Aroma is fruity, fruity, citrus and peach, mild rye stink, slight hop, laundry detergent. Flavor is also very fruity, juicy, fruit punch with the mildest rye bite, mildly bitter aftertaste. Moderate carbonation, medium-light body, juicy texture. This is a fruity beer with minimal rye, somewhat of a mess.

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
Pours a very clear amber/copper with a finger of off white head that lingers and leaves a lot of lacing. Nose is very malty with a some sweetness. Green apple and pear. There is a slight hop note, but itís overpowered by a weird stale aroma. Mouth is not very pleasent to me Very grainy that is bitter and tart. Thereís a hops presence, but once again overpowered by a strange bitterness. Some caramel and sweetness.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
If you are hop friendly then this is a drinkable and refreshing beer! Overall, I think Bridgeport has done a nice job with this seasonal and it has been my go-to beer this Spring!

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
$7 pot at Great Northern, Good Beer Week.
Not a patch on the SN. Well made and moderately hoopy beer but lacks distinction. Some toffee malts but donít get much else. Too subdued for its own good.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 6/20
Bottle @ home picked up at Wilburís Fort Collins. Pours a hazy, burnt orange appearance with a big light brown head. There are spicy rye malt and chocolate notes to the nose but thereís also this funky, fruity, almost bubblegum like smell to the aroma which is strange. Spicy, rye, caramel, somewhat bready, bitter, weird grassy/herbal hoppy flavor. Really kind of an unpleasant beer that I really didnít want to finish.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from Hayduke. We had it together via facebook chat. This poured clear and coppery. A three finger beige head. The aroma was rye and caramel. Chocolate is tasted early and it seems to cause some muddying of the waters. Rye and caramel with spices. There is a long lasting bitterness from the hops. Some fruit and citrus, too. The chocolate kept getting in the way and perhaps it should have been left out. The finish had less chocolate and more caramel which was an improvement.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Share with Strykzone on Facebook Chat Pours a clear copper color with with a big bubbled beige head. Nose gives spices, chocolate, and flavor hops, and the rye is there. Medium plus body . Flavor is very unusual, being hoppy like an IPA, with chocolate like stout, showing fruit like a belgian, and the rye. Finishes kind of bitter like an IPA. This is a decent beer but the flavors donít quite all hang together.
