2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Pours an orange yellow color with a tiny white head that fades immediately. Aroma is sour corn, grass, and lemon. The taste is watery, slightly bitter, a little bit of lemon, a lot of funk. This beer reminds me a lot of carbonated flavored water. There’s that strange bitter flavor that carbonated water always has mixed in with lemon and corn. Life is too short to drink beer this bad. Sorry Bridgeport, I generally like your beers but this is a bad blond in my opinion.

"Tasted and smelled a little more citrusy and natural than some of the shandies out there but not enough to really stand out. A quencher for sure, light with aroma of citrus and lemongrass with some wheat and malt and juuuust a touch of grassy hops."

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Reviewed from notes.
The appearance had a light orange/yellow body with a half finger white foamy head that rises a bit and then falls leaving some nice slightly foamy yet clingy lacing gracing the sides of the glass, carbonation is seen rising at a moderate pace.
The smell had lemongrass and citrus are up front, lightly malted coming forth in the background but stays mainly subdued for the most part, and there’s a nice spicey/pepperiness coming through to tie everything together.
The taste had lemongrass/citrus leading to a tangy yet peppery almost spiciness, spicy aftertaste, dry finish.
On the palate, it sat at/about a light to medium, fairly sessionable. Carbonation seems good for an American Blonde Ale and good for me, becomes slightly crisp.
Overall, actually this is Bridgeport’s best beer that I would come back to again.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle date: unknown, not seeing one.
Brewed with yuzu huh? Well, better be dominant, as I’m a fucking Yuzu connoisseur.
A: Pours a grain colored ale with no head formation and a cental cap of white foam. No lace over the excellent clarity.
S: Smells like grain, corn and a hint of lemon and grass, not lemongrass.
T: Sweet and lemony. Here the lemongrass comes through, but I taste no yuzu, okay maybe a bit, but not really. Mostly sweet, watered pils malts.
M: Thin with hi carb and a semi dry finish, pretty much what I would expect from a summer ale.
O: Well, I wouldn’t put this above the general blonde ale, and in fact, the adjuncts listed on the label make me feel more like this beer is a gimmick, not a high quality brew.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Clear slightly amber coloured body with a bright copper glow and a nice one centimetre just off-white head. Aroma of lemons, light malt, candy sugar and much more citrus - nice and strong. Light-bodied; Strong citrus flavour with a hint of sugars and a light pepper note as well. Aftertaste shows a bit of a spice kick and hints of the yeast with very little else - but a bright and airy finish. Overall, a decent beer with a nice smell and nothing bittering or offensive - just on the mild side, but nice in the heat of the summer! I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from La Bodega in Anchorage, Alaska on 04-October-2013 for US$1.50 sampled at home in Washington a few minutes before leaving back for the Bridge City - Portland, Oregon on 10-November-2013.

Basically, all it looks like they did was to pour a very small bit of spices and flavorings into a vat of Big Box Beer. As they say on MNF, C’mon, man!

On tap @ Bridgeport Brewing. Pours yellow with a finger thick creamy head. Aroma is citrus with lemon peel and some pepper and spices. Medium body with soft carbonation. Flavour is bitter with orange peel and lemon, and a long fruity hoppy finish.

IBU 19. Not a fan of these fruit infused beers, or this one in particular. This isn't overly fruity but it's still less of a beer in my book

Bottle. Pours a clear an orange gold with white head. Settles quickly with minimal lacing. Aroma is fruity, mildly tart, tropical. Flavor is mildly fruity, mildly tart, pineapple, tropical fruit, melon. Moderate carbonation, light body, and crisp texture. Seems more like a fruit beer than anything, fruity, light, fairly drinkable, alright.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle, 4% About 510 yen from Sugaya. A clear deep gold with a very mouthwatering lemon, yuzu & spice aroma. A great full bodied mouthfeel for a beer that goes down smooth. Sweet & fruity - citrus, lemongrass, yuzu. It is really bang on what the label claims. A well executed beer & as I a big yuzu fan really nice. Perfect on a hot sunny summer day...
