Commercial Description:
The pioneering spirit that made us Oregon's Oldest Craft Brewery ® is the inspiration behind our new European inspired big beautiful blonde ale, S?pris. Drawing from our heritage of fine ale craftsmanship, we pursued a fresh flavor direction that would encapsulate our history as well as our vision of bringing the best flavors of the world to your pint glass. S?pris is crafted with European two-row malt to maintain a clean, rich flavor that is delicate and immensely satisfying. The unique blend of hops from Germany, Czech Republic and Slovenia deliver a smooth flavor that contributes to the overall unique balanced dimensions S?pris offers. S?pris is naturally conditioned in the bottle and keg in the BridgePort tradition, and that’s where the similarity to our other beers ends. S?pris brings a distinct experience to the palate with ample effervescence and understated robustness.

Yeasty flowery scent. Chamomile? Light apricot color under halogen. Spicy belgian flavor, but light in character. Fine bubbles effervesce to provide a substantial mouthfeel. Light grapefruit towards the finish. Everything is light with this one. Imagine a Wit with malt, body and sugar. There is some, not a lot, of sweetness here. Just goes to show that any bottle conditioned Bridgeport is a treasure.

Good appearance from BridgePort - what a change in beer styles from an Oregon brewery. Typically the kind of change you find from a brewery not so mainstream, this is a total departure from the norm. Sampled in tulip glass from bottle. Head held nicely throughout sampling in beer clean glass. When ice cold, sample not as good as when brought to between 40-45 F. Appearance of head is nearly white and beer has a tremendous golden hazing glow. Beer very enjoyable with distinctly Belgian aroma upon consumption and opening of the bottle. As a bottle conditioned product, remember to rouse the yeast when the pour is about half gone and again with about 3/4 of the pour completed. Don’t miss the meat and potatoes of this beer at the bottom of the bottle. Prost!

Yeasty, doughy aroma with hints of banana. Straw in color. Fluffy white head with some lace. Lots of banana yeast, tart lemons and slight grass in the hops. Kind of like Orval light. Pretty good.

On tap at Bridgeport, Portland. Like a Belgian wit with a bit more tangerine, with a passing nod to a tripel. More bananary esters. Nicelemon. Good wit, full of flavour, but still that clean feel. Flavours are intense too. Lovely

Glorious light sunny ,golden beer. Slightly hazy and with a lovelly frothy white head. God aroma, mostly malty but some noticable spiciness. Great tasty Belgian styled blonde ale, some yeasty ,estery flavours with coriander and some wheatiness, great after taste. Very pleasing mouthfeel, smooth and almost velvety. I was really surprised that i liked this one..i had judged it through reviews even before I tasted it..now I just wish this was available all year, especially late Spring/Early Summer.
