We’re celebrating three decades of craft brewing in Oregon the only way we know how, by brewing three distinctive beers. This dry-hopped pale showcasing crystal hops is beer #1 in our series - made to honor the hop revolution that ignited the craft brewing movement thirty years ago.

12 oz single bought from Fred Meyer in North Salem. $1.19 Nice golden coloured ale with an inch thick off white head. Handsome. WEll hopped aroma the crystal hops are not my absolute favourite but this is fine enough. Taste is also nice with good lemon hints..tastes very fresh. Malts are there but in the back. Simple but nice. Good palate properly carbonated and very likable A nice simple APA..would do great in June. I think this is a return to form by Bridgeport...look forward to more in the series.

On tap at Bridgeport, pours a hazy blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out dry biscuit malt, some citrus zest and a little pine. Flavour is along the same lines, with bitter piney hops and some dry crackery malt. Decently balanced, but ultimately pretty boring. Not so good.

Nothing bad, nothing great, lots of average. Light and citrusy but really that’s about it.

RSRIZZO (1852) - Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA - JUL 25, 2014
12oz bottle poured into a Shaker at 42°. Color is a light gold with a slight haze. Carbonation is good with a small rocky head that seems to tighten up as you drink it. Aroma is a bold citrus scent that leans to orange. It has a medium body with a smooth mouth feel giving a mild crisp bite on the end. Flavor comes in on mild sweet malt followed by a bold citrus giving only a hint of the orange you get in the aroma and a bit of grapefruit. After taste is more citrus and a bitterness biting at the sides of your tongue. Overall its a nice drinkable brew but leans on the hop side a bit much.

Bottle: Clear gold with a white head and no lacing. Aroma of celery, hops and a little tanginess. Semi-hoppy flavor with a musty aftertaste. It’s not amazing, but it’s not as bad as the rating % above. It was refreshing on a hot summer day.

Hell of a head on this, stays forever. Had this at a ball game. Was decent for hot weather but I won’t need this beer again

Good, agreeable pale, which really borders on an IPA. Slightly less body than an IPA. Sufficiently hopped, with a satisfying bitterness that augments the flavor and doesn’t get in the way.

Pour is a hazy orange with a large foamy white head. Aroma is a decent citrus hop with chalky malt. Flavor is an ok hop with a minor bitterness. After the swallow more of the lemon zest is left. Decent beer but it left a little to be desired as it was somewhat thin and not hopped up enough.

12oz bottle 6/24/14 (Binnys Naperville Mix A Six)-42° in Shaker-Pours a light amber with a small white head. Aroma of hops, citrus, and malt. Taste of citrus, hops, and grapefruit. This light bodied brew is not well balanced but something is missing and I can’t put my finger on it. I was expecting more.
