Cask-conditioned at the Wellington, Birmingham 12/08/08. Golden coloured with a slight white head. Grainy, slightly sweet malt aroma. Flavour of biscuit malt with a touch of summer fruit and a long, bitter finish. Drinkable.

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 chriso (7065) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - NOV 5, 2007
Cask (gravity dispense), St Albans Beer Festival, September 2007. Pale gold colour. Entirely flat, leading to a dull mouthfeel. Prominent toffee and butterscotch in the aroma, which was certainly not appropriate for the style. Touches of grassy hop on the palate but its all a bit thin. Not properly conditioned din my view. A shame as this was my first beer from this quite new brewery. Re-rate if possible. Shown as 3.8% in the festival list but 3.9% on the brewery website.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 MesandSim (7109) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUL 28, 2007
A Mes rate:
Cask at the Market Porter. Slightly hazy blonde-ish colour with a thin head. Lovely creamy hoppy nose. Dusty hop flavour with delicate toffee notes and a good dollop of vanilla but no particular sweetness. Bitter edge on the finish. Drinks above its strength. Enjoyable and quaffable. Decent drop if you ask me.
