COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is an absolute staple to the craft beer world. A crystal clear copper colored beer with rich bitterness and noble hops for a citrus aroma accompanied by pale malts and a light caramel like sweetness for balance. Mouth feel is smooth with a mild aftertaste.

Draught at Brimmer Beer Box in Tokyo.
Pour is clear orange gold. Innocuous aroma. Taste has some fruity hops. Pretty basic but not bad.

On keg in the Brimmer Beer Box. Clear pale golden amber, medium white head, nice fresh young lacing. Nose is dusty, dry lager yeast, little hop fruity, minerally. Not the citrus hoppy pale ale I was expecting. Taste is clean, crisp, dry and minerally. Subtle cereal malt. Lots of lager characteristics. Bit dusty and dry.

Draught at Bungalow. Copper with small white head. Aroma is very malty. Flavour has lots of malts, but also some nuttiness. Quite a dry bitter finish.

Draught at Craft Beer Festa Kyoto 2014. Rich malty nose, lots of sweet caramel. Dark reddish/amber color. Big caramel, yeast, balanced in mid, with light raisiny notes and some ripe apple. Medium body with very nice mouthfeel. The bittering works very well in this one. Tasty, malt-forward stuff.

On tap @ Brimmer Beer Box. Orange amber, good head. Orange biscuit malt aroma & flavour. A hybrid between a bitter & pale ale.

At Brimmer Box as part of their tasting set. It is slightly darker than their Golden Ale. It has a maltier body, more hoppy aroma and taste. I think it is a great pale ale for someone new to craft beer. More of a gateway beer than one for a someone who already drinks lots of craft. The nicest of the 3 beers I tried in my taster set. Brimmer reminds me of Rokko in Kobe, possibly playing it safe for Japanese palates but their beers were more consistent than Rokko’s. All 3 were quite drinkable just light on flavor for the style.
