Cask (GBBF2011, Thursday)
Gingery aroma. Full body. Great heaed. Grainy retronasals. Tons of hops in the finish - a nice tingle. A touch wooly later.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Nocturne (142) - Northwich, Cheshire, ENGLAND - APR 9, 2012
Cask at the Stamford Bridge, outside Chester. Nice golden colour. Aroma is refreshingly floral and the taste... wow, wasn’t expecting such gorgeous hoppiness. Really packed with lovely citrus flavours. Seems more like a golden ale than a bitter, but whatever the style, this is a very nice beer indeed.

Cask@GBBF2011. Deep golden colour, mediumsized fluffy beige head. Aroma is fruits, wood, some mild herbal and grassy notes. Flavour is wood, some slight tart notes, mild berries and some sweet malts. Yet quite pleasant to drink.
3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 EdKing (936) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - AUG 5, 2011
GBBF 2011. Cask. Copper/orange colour. Nose is fantastic. Citrous hops but with some more unusual flavours. Bit of pink bubblegum in there. Taste is also very nice. Lots of flavours. Citrous, bit of tropical fruit and a nutty malt character. Really good session beer which is packed full of flavour.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 imdownthepub (7470) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - SEP 21, 2008
Cask conditioned at Brimstage Brewery. Bronze colour with white head. Fuller bitter with a good nutty, malty body. The hops are a little more restrained in this, just adding to the depth rather than being the showcase, so it is a solid Best Bitter. Pretty decent all the same.
