Rune (2038), Tromsø, Norway Sep 2, 2008 Enjoyed ourselves at the Bar Nouveau, GBBF 08, with this more-than-average British bitter. It delivered a satisfying taste of tropical fruits supported by a lingering, dry bitter ending. Quite well bodied for the strength (I was so attached to the taste, that I forgot to make notes on the appearance, but it was reasonably good looking) (Hand-pulled cask, 07.08.2008). Svesse (1920), Hässelby, Sweden Aug 24, 2008 (Cask at GBBF, London, 7 Aug 2008) Golden yellow colour with frothy, white head. Fruity, slightly grainy nose with citrus and tropical fruit. Fruity taste with a decent malt foundation, notes of citrus, tropical fruit and grassy hops in a moderately bitter finish. Below medium body. Decent and refreshing. harrisoni (5605), Ashford, Kent, England Aug 11, 2008 Cask at GBBF 08. Hey, it’s from the Wirral so I had to have it. Gold, lasting off white head. Nettle hop. Decent condition. Bit of sweaty sox. Nice enough beer. Certainly godl personality. Doesn’t develop much, but hte sherberty sweaty sox is ok. Fin (2570), Merton, Oxfordshire, England May 9, 2008 Cask at Banbury Beer Festival 08-05-08 Pours golden in colour with nice little bubbly white head and looks really good. Soft malts, aromatic hops, nice sweet spicy and hoppy bite good bitterness, a very nice beer and one I would happily have a session on. imdownthepub (4310), Banbury, Oxfordshire, England May 9, 2008 Cask conditioned at Banbury Beer Fest ’08. Gold with white head. Good dry golden ale with plenty of zesty notes, quite gingery in flavour almost spicy. Lemony and with distinct citrus notes and a bitter finish, a good accomplished beer.
