Cask, Ship Inn, Hoylake. From currently Wirral’s only brewery. Hazy golden colour, white head. Aroma is sweet, toffeeish. Hoppy, citrus flavour, bitter finish. Very sessionable. Deserves attention.

Cask conditioned at Banbury Beer Fest ’08. Gold with white head. Good dry golden ale with plenty of zesty notes, quite gingery in flavour almost spicy. Lemony and with distinct citrus notes and a bitter finish, a good accomplished beer.

Cask at Banbury Beer Festival 08-05-08 Pours golden in colour with nice little bubbly white head and looks really good. Soft malts, aromatic hops, nice sweet spicy and hoppy bite good bitterness, a very nice beer and one I would happily have a session on.

Cask@GBBF2007. Golden colour, not much head. Aroma is very nectary, wooden and fruitish hoppy. Very nice. Flavour is the same along with some grassy and rather hayish notes in the finish.
