A friend gave me this beer. iwas so excited to try a new (to me) German Pilsener. I thought someone had stored the bottle in their car trunk! Very light aroma, it does look good though, I'm halfway done and the head is still stable. No taste, no body. Might as well bought me a Miller!

Catch up rating. Nice crisp, clean pilsener! Pleasant surprise, poured into stemmed pilsener glass, one finger white head and a pale golden body with nice active carbonation. Refreshing, nice mix of malt and hops for a clean finish.

On tap @ im alten zolln. Giallo dorato, cristallina, schiuma bianca grossolana.

Geruch hopfig, getreidig, grasig. Geschmack hopfig, grasig, lang anhaltende Bitterkeit.

2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Bitter-malty beginning. Crisp but not smooth. The mainpart is a bit malty, slightly grainy. Crisp but not as smooth as the Union-Siegelpils from the same brewer. The aftertaste is long, a bit more hop-intense than the Siegelpils. But not as smooth. The bitter note stays much longer on the tongue, but nice hop-aroma is missing…
--> Nice Pils, but I like the Siegelpils better. --> 7/11/7/8

5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
The best beer i’ve ever had. It has a perfect full-bodied balance between bitter and mild. Brinkhoff’s is clear, golden and has a perfect minimal head. It is not extremly sparkling, but enough to not get stale that fast.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Very clean golden yellow body, frothy thin white head. Crisp hops, very pale malts, grassy, floral. Not as bad as expected. Taste is grainy though and although bitter not very refined. Herbal after taste in a negative, medicinal way. Very simplistic taste, way too clean and thin. Light fizzy. Bitter, is the best I can say about it. (50cl bottle from Rewe supermarket)
