Formerly Rethymnian Blonde.
Note: Name changed (temporarily?) because the authorities suddenly decided that they couldn’t use geographical names for beer until the law that allows that is out.

Slight malt & grape aroma. Pale and slightly hazy in appearance. No head. Well carbonated, dry and not thin. Hints of diacetyl. Some negative esters and phenolics that do not compliment the beer. However nice hop balance. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle at home bought at a Bio store near my home. Pours yellow with no head. Heavily particulate, thin bodied, poor palate. Slight aromas of malt, mostly cereal and herbs. Light presence of hops, mostly grass and herbs. Taste is similar, with dry finish and slightly bitter-sweet aftertaste. I’ve had it many times in the past, it’s an ok brew but nothing that special. I do prefer it to commercial beers, and I appreciate their following the German Purity Law.

330 ml swing top bottle. Pours a gold/amber with light head. Unfortunately big doses of DMS both aroma and flavor.

Swingtop Bottle at a Beach side cafe in Rethymno, 5/31/15
Pale yellow, frothy, bright white head, lots of carbonation in glass. Clean sweet malt aroma. Light and refreshing beer. Crisp and clean flavour. Light bodied but not watery. Quite solid and refreshing.

Brink’s blonde 33cl swingtop bottle in Athens. Looks good but somewhat faint aroma with overly mild and simple flavor. Bready aftertaste with faint herbal and spicy hops.

Bottle. Pours a slightly golden yellow with not much of a head. Aroma is corn, vegetal. Taste follows along the same lines. Light, no carbonation. Drainpour.

330 ml bottle. BB 28/06/15. (Inka) Souda, Greece.
Hazy pale yellow colour with a tiny white head. The aroma is vegetables, mild yeast and some medicine notes. Is it really supposed to be like this? The flavour is even worse. Yuck! This has gone bad.

330 ml flop top bottle at the Italian restaurant at Avra Hotel, Kolimbari, Crete. Sparkling misty golden body with a small white head. Yeasty grassy nose that reveals wooden notes as it heats. Yeasty, grassy fodder bitterness that gives way to a most welcome malt presence in the finish. Light to medium bodied. Light doughy texture. Worked well with the pizza I had.

Well, I hope I get the chance to rerate this brew at some time... this 0,33l bottle was ruined, a vegetable/ corn/ sewer aroma and taste, very very unpleasant and not drinkable. Guess the clip-lock was somehow broken.
