COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Beehive is a refreshingly gentle ale, with a honey-gold color and just a suggestion of sweetness in the finish.

Tap at brewery. Hazy honey gold with a thin cap head. Clean aroma of wheat bread and a semi-sweet honey tone. Taste was very clean and light, which isn’t that great but it certainly hits the mark it aims for with its 4% ABV level. Spritzy wheaty pale malt tone throughout with a mild honey sweetness more towards the finish.

Draft @ taproom. Hazy dark yellow. Phenols in the aroma, which isn’t all that exciting anyway. The flavors are pretty nice though. The balance is pretty solid, has nutty grain and honey kiss.

Ported from BA. Appearance: Yellow, like sunshine or wheat grass, and hazy. A very light head that laces nicely. Smell: Sweet honey notes backed by a strong yeasty/bready aroma. Taste: Slightly bitter, yeasty and wheaty. Malt and fruity flavors come through strong. Was only bottled 2 weeks ago I guess, so the honey was nice and noticeable. Standard wheat beer aftertaste. Mouthfeel: fizzy and light, with a to-be-expected kind of wheat beer feeling. Drinkability: Easy to drink, I could have one with lunch or several in my hammock on a summer day.

This beer pours a slightly hazy yellow color with a medium thin white head that dissipates steadily. Short strings of lacing. Aroma of Honey Comb cereal along with a bit of yeast. Light body with a sweet malt and honey character along with notes of yeast and fruit. The finish is sweet with a short wheaty aftertaste. Just average overall.

12 oz bottle. Hazy dark yellow with a small white head. Nose is lager-ish with a hint of wheat. Taste is very watery, with some wheat notes and a little sweetness. Very light body. Not much to this one.

Light, easy going wheat beer. Sweetness on the finish. Next time I’d like to taste it with the high scorers for perspective.

12 ounce bottle from variety pack. Pours a hazy yellow with a small white head. Aroma of wheat, citrus and florals. Taste is wheat, citrus and honey. Mildly sweet. Decent.

Draft at the Yard House in Denver, CO. Pours a very cloudy, very dark golden yellowish orange color with banana yellow edges and a one finger creamy white head that settles into a lasting ring. Minimal lace. Sweet, slightly spicy aroma with lots of bread yeast. Picking up sweetness from honey but organic not artificial sweetness. Hints of coriander, pepper, citrus and faint banana. Fuller bodied than expected with a nice balance of spice, yeast, bread, honey and citrus. Zesty lemon peper clove up front countered by prominent bread yeast. Again honey adds fullness but not artificial sweetness. Faint banana but nice lemon and orange peel presence. Dry finish.

Sampler at a local. Pours a thin white head, over a cloudy yellow (SRM 4) body....nose is cereal with light floral honey tones.....taste is heavy wheaty cereal, with minimal light floral tones, the barest hint of sweetness....mouth feel is light, carbonation low. This is a very cereal dominated wheat. The honey is very lightly done. BJCP 7/3/12/4/6

Head is small small, frothy, white, and only loosely connected. Body is hazy light to medium yellowish orange. Aroma is lightly malty of honey, lightly hoppy , moderately yeasty with a sort of sweaty flavor, quite strange . Flavor is slightly sweet to begin with, transitioning to a stale bitterness. Finish is a dull bitter flavor with no real crispness or refreshing quality. Takes on a husky character that is a bit rough honestly. Can’t say this one was that enjoyable. It goes down easy enough just leaves very much to be desired afterward.
