Deliciously fruity, hoppy & refreshing, fantastic summer ale.
A real showcase of the fabulous Soracchi Ace hop, Acer has beautiful aromas of citrus, berries and elderflower, with a very fruity palate and a lovely refreshing citrus aftertaste leaving you wanting more.

Bottle 500ml (AbM, BB 09/2014)
Clear golden-amber color, small off-white head, some lace. Nettles, gooseberry notes characteric to Sorachi Ace but a bit toned down - maybe better when really fresh bottle. Light bodied but ok palate for this ABV, Citrus and gooseberry in the flavor, light notes of strawberry. Lingering bitterness in the aftertaste. Decent bitter for being only 3.8% but probably could be even better from cask.

500 ml bottle. 1486. BB 10/09/14. From alesbymail.co.uk.
Clear amber colour with a medium-sized foamy off-white head. The aroma is some candies, some milk products, mild hops and toothpaste. The flavour is herbs, toothpaste, some grapefruity bitterness and some citrus notes. I don’t quite dig this. It’s drinkable but not that enjoyable. Sometimes Sorachi Ace is a tricky one for me. Quite strong hoppy bitterness in the aftertaste.

500ml bottle. Cloudy copper with a good white head. Aroma is malt, yeast, spice. Flavour is lemon sherbet, floral, slightly herbal, nectarine and a heavy bitter grapefruit finish. The hops really come through. Medium bodied, moderate and fine carbonation, slick. Excellent.

Idiosynkrasie (3269) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - AUG 7, 2013
500ml bottle. Clear orangey dark golden colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Hoppy aroma is minimally piney, more strawy and grassy, malty basis with a honey and elderflower touch. Taste is minimally sweet malty, fruity hints of elderberries, gooseberry, dry overtones of fruit parings, grassy hop with a strawy touch. Cautious or even almost anaemic, but well balanced; not a striking beauty, but worth a second look.
