Deliciously fruity, hoppy & refreshing, fantastic summer ale.
A real showcase of the fabulous Soracchi Ace hop, Acer has beautiful aromas of citrus, berries and elderflower, with a very fruity palate and a lovely refreshing citrus aftertaste leaving you wanting more.

Slightly peppery sorachi aroma with soft fruit, lime and soft lemon. Slight towely smell. Flavour is floral, white peppery with citrus lurking around in indefinite measure. Fairly sweet but well balanced - nice and thick. I think these guys must have really upped their game. Well done Jonny

Bottle from Cornelius. Pours light copper. Nice head. Light but very pleasant hop aroma. Green herbal hit from my beloved Sorachi Ace hops. Custard. Fruit Salad sweets. Decent carbonation and a full mouthfeel for the low ABV. Taste is sweet with a fair bit of tang to begin. Tropical citric notes. Bitterness asserts itself and lingers for a nice, long finish. Well-rounded brew.

Bottle. Hop Hideout, Sheffield. Courtesy of Ruddy. Hazy light brown. Fruity, nutty, best bitter type of aroma. Some orange hop. Taste is light, pithy bitter. Some nutty sweet. Light, fairly crisp palate. Finishes light dry. Ok stuff. Drinks better than it smells.

Bottle 500ml (AbM, BB 09/2014)
Clear golden-amber color, small off-white head, some lace. Nettles, gooseberry notes characteric to Sorachi Ace but a bit toned down - maybe better when really fresh bottle. Light bodied but ok palate for this ABV, Citrus and gooseberry in the flavor, light notes of strawberry. Lingering bitterness in the aftertaste. Decent bitter for being only 3.8% but probably could be even better from cask.

500 ml bottle. 1486. BB 10/09/14. From alesbymail.co.uk.
Clear amber colour with a medium-sized foamy off-white head. The aroma is some candies, some milk products, mild hops and toothpaste. The flavour is herbs, toothpaste, some grapefruity bitterness and some citrus notes. I donít quite dig this. Itís drinkable but not that enjoyable. Sometimes Sorachi Ace is a tricky one for me. Quite strong hoppy bitterness in the aftertaste.
