Cask at Euston Tap with Sarah. Pours a clear amber gold with a tan head that lasts throughout the beer and laces. Aroma is mainly earthy grains with a hint of biscuit and grassy hops. Flavor begins with smooth grain with a light grassy hop backing that grows.

Cask at Euston Tap. The Sorachi Ace is apparent from the get-go: this makes it a coconutty taste, twist milky sweet and nutty. Light, fragrant, easy to drink. It’s a great drop. And oh! I get it - Acer because its Sorachi innit.

Cask at The Blue Blaze. A textbook bitter. Grapefruit, grass and lemon zest to the hops. A nice degree of malty sweetness. A nip of bubblegum but maybe that was the hops too. Bitter finish. Quite full bodied for such a low ABV.

Cask conditioned at The Holborn Whippet, Holborn, London. Gold with slight head. This was really bland and watery for some reason, thin, malty, didn’t get the hop. Nothing special.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Cask in the Port Street Beer House. Middle golden colour with smallish head. This is indeed a very hoppy beer, strong aromas and flavours. Despite the low alcohol content, this is sufficiently well-balanced to hold the hops, which taste kind of green, dry, bitter and especially grapefruit. Long bitter finish. Excellent tasty beer.

Cask at the Magpie, amber-gold with lacy head and a very faint haze, nice crisp herb and citrus hop nose with hints of pineapple and grapefruit, dry-bitter on the palate but with a nice biscuit and faintly melon malt underlay.
