[cask at the Hanging Bat, Edinburgh] Slightly hazy golden pour with a large white head. Pretty zingy citrus aroma, mostly grapefruit and lemon rather than gooseberry, however. Nicely bitter and citric on the flavour, went very well with the rich barbecue food I was eating at the time. Finishes distinctly NZ with that vinous, citric, almost acidic quality. Good stuff [14122012]

Cask @ Bon Accord. Hazy orange amber colour, good head. Resin hop aroma. Lemon hop flavour. Very bitter aftertaste. More like a golden ale.

UPDATED: MAR 26, 2013 Cask at the Euston Tap, London. Pours mostly clear gold with a creamy, white head. Day-old urine in the nose with straw and biscuity pale malts. Medium sweet flavor with lots of pissy bitterness, some tangy tropical fruits, light minerals. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly resinous on the finish with more pee, melon, kumquat, lime, dry pale malts, hints of salt. A slow starter, but this beer finishes strong. Great Southern Hemisphere character, very good balance. I could easily drink pints of this beer. (4.0)
Cask at the Euston Tap, London. Pours a fuzzy gold with a thick, white cream head. Sweet, doughy malt nose. Medium sweet flavor with pale malts, dry dough, some lightly bitter hay. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Mostly dough to finish, white sugar, faint citrus, light lime, pee and straw. Easygoing stuff. (3.7)

Pale blonde with winey grape nose, dry, pithy bitterness, gentle carbonation, good condition, long finish. Not as sessionable as so.co. but still a great drop.

Cask at the Euston Tap - 31/10/12.
Hazy golden amber with a mahooooosive frothy white had. Very lively in the pour took a while to come through and good lacing followed.
Bitter grapefruit up front on the nose, mango, assorted tropical tones plus the bloke next to me’s BO ! I moved - rancid bastard it was only 4.30pm! I digress, nose continued with sweet candy and light mineral tones.
Tastes of bitter grapefruit, a little pine, sweet popcorn, light caramel, mineral tones, great all round piney hop bitterness.
Medium bodied with fine carbonation and a smooth finish on the palate.
Great stuff!

Cask-conditioned at the Seven Stars, Bristol 3/09/2012. Gold with a slight white head. Light, aroma of tropical fruit with some gooseberry and grassy hops. Flavour was more assertive, with the tropical fruit more pronounced, some balancing sweet malts and a lingering, dry finish. Very good.
