Euston Tap. Cask. Lightly hazy gold beer with a nice creamy white head. Palate is softish and dry. Good fine carbonation. In nice condition this beer. Skunky hops with quite a strong bitterness. Light grape. Touch of white wine and very light tropical fruits before a smooth and light finish. Unusual.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Appearance: Clear amberish color with an off white head. Good lacing.
Aroma: Malty, fruity and hoppy.
Palate: Medium body. Slightly sweet, and an ok bitterness. Soft carbonation.
Taste: Fresh malty, balanced tropical fruity and lovely citric hoppy.
Overall impression: What a pleasant surprise. I just had to try this kiwi stuff. Not that much kiwi flavor. Although a lot of fresh tropical fruits.
Personal stats: On tap at The Philharmonic in Liverpool, England.

Hastily guzzled pint, Euston Tap, 24/08/13. Curry leaf, grapefruit, biscuit and cheese nose. Bitter stewed tonic and grapefruit vibes; curry leaf, herb... didn’t get the barrel or the gooseberry. Low foam over clear gold. Finishes with a pils-like rasp. Left me wanting more.

Cask @ Euston Tap, London, 25/08/13. Pours orange, tinging on amber with a good, white head. Aroma is hoppy, some exotics, caramel. Taste is hoppy with grapefruit and light flower. Some caramel. Long, dry finish and aftertaste with a lot of lemon. Light with decent carbonation.

Cask conditioned at The Old Contemptibles, Birmingham. Hazy gold with white head. There is a good, sharp aroma to this leading to a bitter, dry beer with plenty of fruity flavours, proudly I did write gooseberry down, before seeing the description above, along with grapefruit and apricot. At the end of a long days beer hunting this came over really well on a tired palate. Very good.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Cask at the henry Addington canary wharf. After work on a Friday should be the best beer of the week, but I found this a little disappointing. Hazed orange amber colour with a blotchey cream head. Some sticky lace. Nose OK s citrus resin and fruit. Flavour is tobacco and resin with a rough round the edges sort of piney bitterness. Palate was medium body, lowish carved.

[cask at the Hanging Bat, Edinburgh] Slightly hazy golden pour with a large white head. Pretty zingy citrus aroma, mostly grapefruit and lemon rather than gooseberry, however. Nicely bitter and citric on the flavour, went very well with the rich barbecue food I was eating at the time. Finishes distinctly NZ with that vinous, citric, almost acidic quality. Good stuff

Cask @ Bon Accord. Hazy orange amber colour, good head. Resin hop aroma. Lemon hop flavour. Very bitter aftertaste. More like a golden ale.

UPDATED: MAR 26, 2013 Cask at the Euston Tap, London. Pours mostly clear gold with a creamy, white head. Day-old urine in the nose with straw and biscuity pale malts. Medium sweet flavor with lots of pissy bitterness, some tangy tropical fruits, light minerals. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly resinous on the finish with more pee, melon, kumquat, lime, dry pale malts, hints of salt. A slow starter, but this beer finishes strong. Great Southern Hemisphere character, very good balance. I could easily drink pints of this beer. (4.0)
Cask at the Euston Tap, London. Pours a fuzzy gold with a thick, white cream head. Sweet, doughy malt nose. Medium sweet flavor with pale malts, dry dough, some lightly bitter hay. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Mostly dough to finish, white sugar, faint citrus, light lime, pee and straw. Easygoing stuff. (3.7)
