COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; Occasional. Also available bottle conditioned.
A German style Wheat Beer. Zippy and zesty, with flavours of banana, bubblegum and hints of grapefruit. A rich aroma of banana and cloves. It is a very refreshing beer, perfect for a sunny day.
Enjoy this beer with many different dishes. It is a fantastic accompaniment to salads, chicken, fish dishes and mild spices.

Was interested to find out what a Hefe from Bristol would be like. Not bad is my answer, though I’d prefer more banana to come through. Lemon and orange nose, with some a strong citrus element to the flavour with some clove coming through. Cloudy, sherbet colour with a small white head.

Live. Bottle. Piled white on faintly misted gold. Nose of diluted lambic lime and cheesy hop; hay, gooseberry, bespattered farm track. Weirdly smoked, husky taste with a burnt clove spiciness. Badly lacking the requisite freshness and mottled banana notes of a classic hefe.

Bottle from Dave. Golden with a thick head. Strong hefe aroma of sweet banana and treacle. The feel is thick and creamy; the taste somewhere between a hefe and a Bohemian pils, with some metallic dryness. Not as rich or sweet as its Munich counterparts. Nice beer here.

500ml, bottle-conditioned. ar: slight sherbet. ap: gold, very slight haze. Fluffy white head, soon diminishing. Taste: banana, medium-heavy sweetness, appropriate bitterness. pa: light body, lingering banana and wheat. ov: worthy hefe-weizen. Full of taste and refreshing.

Lovely wheat beer with a beautiful cloudy dark yellow color, with slight taste of barn and hay. Incredibly much yeast sediment (huge chunks) Think Englishmen can make good wheat beer.

Bottled. Hazy gold colour with a small/medium white head and medium carbonation. Spice, citrus, and pear-drops on the nose (somewhat subdued though), with something earthy at the end. A sweet, peppery spice-and-orange start, then pear-drops, and then a drier, smooth, more earthy finish. Clean, fresh, but with complexity and depth too. Well balanced and rounded. Very good.

Sample from 50 cl. bottle. Hazy, golden colour with a dense, white head. Fruity aroma with yeasts, banana, cloves and a light hint of grape. Taste is light sweet. Medium body with a creamy texture. Finishes lightly bitter and fruity.
