Lovely wheat beer with a beautiful cloudy dark yellow color, with slight taste of barn and hay. Incredibly much yeast sediment (huge chunks) Think Englishmen can make good wheat beer.

mt_hall (110) - Hertfordshire, ENGLAND - MAY 10, 2014
Bottled. Hazy gold colour with a small/medium white head and medium carbonation. Spice, citrus, and pear-drops on the nose (somewhat subdued though), with something earthy at the end. A sweet, peppery spice-and-orange start, then pear-drops, and then a drier, smooth, more earthy finish. Clean, fresh, but with complexity and depth too. Well balanced and rounded. Very good.

Aroma was subdued, definitely some yeast and a little citrus but not the clove or banana presence indicative of a hefe. Taste is yeast with hint of banana. Light body with unsatisfying thin feel. Has a rather unsuspected light bitterness that creeps up on you. The qualities of hefeweizen are present but it doesn’t go beyond replica status.
