A German style Wheat Beer. Zippy and zesty, with flavours of banana, bubblegum and hints of grapefruit. A rich aroma of banana and cloves. It is a very refreshing beer, perfect for a sunny day.
Enjoy this beer with many different dishes. It is a fantastic accompaniment to salads, chicken, fish dishes and mild spices.

Cask @ Royal Oak Twerton. Hazy orange and flat. Definitely a strong hefe character in the aroma with banana esters. Sweet with heavily estered yeast character. Flat and highly reminiscent of German wheat beer in the flavors if not the palate, although I’ve had some relatively flat ones in Bavaria. Nice wheat character adds a nice toasty note at the end but it still does have characteristic stickiness throughout. Not bad.

Cask (Euston Tap, RBESG2011 Saturday)
Dull sweet non-german style hefeweizen. Touch stodgy in the mouth, a little dirty - earthy and dusty. Touch spicy, but that can’t crispen it enough. Looked good - a nice hazy deep yellow, with a tight head.

Bottle. Very cloudy golden / orangy beer with a very strong head. The aroma is spiced and quite biitter, the flavour is thickly yeasty with a fairly bitter and spiced quality. Overall a fairly harsh tasting but quite reasonable german style wheat beer.

Bottle. Hazy gold with a fluffy foam. Aromas are caramel malts with lots of yeast and hints of banana. Some biscuit with earthy notes. Flavours are sweet caramel and banana with probably a bit too much or not quite right yeastiness. Dry on the finish. Reasonable.

On cask at Euston Tap. Orange gold with a slight haze and thick beige head. Wheat beer estery aroma. Juicy in the mouth with rose petal and peach flavours. Quite an intense perfumed hefe. Juicyness is a surprise. Some hop sting on finish. Really interesting. Bit bizarre. Some green apple. Certainly not dull though. Odd hefe
