COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Rich, Sweet and oh so wonderful! We had a great brew day creating this stout with beer writer Melissa Cole. A ‘Super’ version of our Milk Stout that has been aged in Rum casks for 2 months. Rich and sweet with vanilla notes coming through from the oak casks. A real liquid dessert.

Bottle 33 cl, BBE 11/2015. Pours dark brown in color with a mocha colored head. Vinous notes, marzipan boozyness, fresh car interior feeling and rum in aroma. Feels almost like beeing in a hospital too, feels too clinic in a way, which isn’t a good thing in this case. Vinous and quite sharp boozy notes in taste. Too boozy with light sweet overripe dark fruity notes in finish. Better later on however with some light smoky woodyness and bitter chocolateycoffee in aftertaste. More sweetish notes appears as well. Much better towards the end actually

330ml bottle (Ales By Mail) - shared by vastactiv - thanks!
Black, tight tan head. Lovely rich roast, very burnt, aroma. Not as sweet as I was expecting. Very similar taste. Solid stout. Nothing fancy, but very nice burntish stout. Didn’t say 8.5%.

Opaque black - brown beer, good pale tan head. Palate is light and airy. Very mild dark malts, tangy and dry. Touch of spicy bubblegum ester. Touch of vanilla. Dry finish. Mmmm - frankly not fit to lick the boots of something like the Southern Tier beer of the same name. I mean where is the caramel? In it’s own right okay.

(Bottle, 0.33 l - BBE 9.11.2015, courtesy of VastActiv, 20130914) The beer poured black. Its head was medium sized and lightly brown. Aroma had vanilla, chocolate, roasted malts, sweetness and wood. Palate was full bodied and dryish with medium carbonation. Flavours were sweetness, vanilla, chocolate, coffee, roasted malts and bitterness. Afteraste was sweet, roasty and bitter. A quite sweet experience. Less sweetness would have resulted in a better brew.

330ml bottle. Almost black colour with huge, firm, creamy, fairly lasting, moderately lacing, brown head. Chocolately dark malty aroma, spicy hints of liquorice, some treacle, some vanilla, a touch of rum. Taste is moderately sweet dark malty, hints of treacle, vanilla, sweet liquorice; minimal hints of alcohol in the finish, sticky palate. Very nice.

Bottle shared by Countbeer. Pitch black color, opaque, small light brown head. Smell malts, chocolate, sweetness, alcohol. Taste malts, roasted malts, lightly alcohol, lightly coffee, slightly raisins. Quite complex, pretty nice. Quite like it. Medium body and carbonation. Thank god nothing resembling the southern tier creme brulee stout. This is nice. Well done!
