330ml bottle. Black colour with average, creamy, fairly lasting, moderately lacing, tan head. BA notes of leather, oak, vanilla and a good amount of fresh cinnamon is imposed on the dark malty aroma. Taste is dark malty, now with moderated BA notes and with out the cinnamon, nicely and harmonically integrated.

Opaque black - brown beer. Big pale tan head. Palate is slightly soft and semi dry. Mellow dark malt. Nice mellow bourbon with just a little wood. Mild minerals and mild spicy bubblegum ester - well buried. Mellow vanilla. Finishes dry. A good BA Impy but lacks that wow factor of the best.

Bottle. Near black with a decent tan head. Dark chocolate, roasted malts, some vanilla oak and a hint or prune, before a dryish finish with a trace of whiskey warmth. Excellent.

Countbeer (4301) - Best of E-Town mit ein Brauhaus, NETHERLANDS - SEP 1, 2013
Bottle: Thanks MadMitch: Served in a Chouffe glass: Deep dark brown to black pour. Medium to bigger sized brown foamy head, that is thick and slowly changing, on top of a black colored beer. Aromas of bourbon, butter, vanilla, brett, some spices, oatmeal and roasted malts. Flavours of bitters, vanilla, spices, roasted barley malts, wood, light butterscotch, hint of cacoa, butter, hint of yeast, creamy and bitter with a roasted backbone. Aftertaste is a mix of bitters, spices, roasted malts, light creamy, butter, chalk and creamy. Low carbo, soft creamy close to silky mouthfeel, full body and an oily light sticky texture. Easy drinkable and just a bit of the Bourbon bit still a very good and even black colored.

Clear brown beer, no head. Aroma: lots of coffee, dark chocolate, dried plums, caramel, some vanilla. MF: soft to no carbon, medium body. Taste: a bit sour start, dark forest fruits, coffee, cocoa powder, pretty roasted bitterness. Aftertaste: coffee, sour, dark chocolate, vanilla, citrus, woody, hoppy touch.

33cl (from the 12 Stouts series), new exclusive English brew Anno 2012, from The Bottle Shop Canterbury, very complex Stout, roasted/spicy and slightly alcoholic/woody, yet not too heavy, balanced, cloudy, small head, very good brew, yet expensive!

maneliquor (2995) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - JUN 9, 2013
Bottle from Kris Wines. Pours pitch black with a pretty big tan head which very slowly fades to a half finger , very firm head. Great sticky lacing. Nose is that ofchocolate covered sultana and raisins with a dash of bourbon. As it warms the bourbon comes out a little more. Very bourbon forward in the taste. Almost more bourbon than it is beer. As it warms some heavy fruits come out - sultana, date, currant, fig. Vanilla and milk chocolate in there. Good stuff. Surprisingly easy going for a 10%+ brew. Soft and spritzy carbonation helps it flow. Light bitterness on the finish. Enjoyable

Argonian (262) - Athens, GREECE - JUN 2, 2013
Bottle. Almost pitch black body, with a very small head, but a very nice lace. Smells bourbon from afar, amazing. But, taste is very alcoholic, especially when the beer gets warmer, to the point where it becomes unbalanced. Nevertheless, bourbon really stands out, and it’s good. Oily texture, light to medium carbonation, medium to heavy body. A very good imperial stout, if not a little bit unbalanced and more alcoholic than it should be.

Black pour. Small tan head. No lacing. Huge vanilla, bourbon, malt aromas. Taste is similar with more bourbon. Dry finish. Not bad. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
