This Imperial Stout has spent the last 6 months ageing in oak taking on the famous characteristics of Glenlivet whisky. The Stout’s rich, smooth, roasty flavours combine with the whisky character to produce a complex beer, layered with big flavours. Enjoy as an after-dinner treat or as an accompaniment to full-flavoured cheeses.

Bottle at home watching bonfire night fireworks, 10th November 2012, been looking forward to this one, poured a pitch black, small smooth head, aroma is rich, liquorice, tar, caramel, some coffee. Taste is salty liquorice initially, some smooth whiskey undertones some oak, drinks smoothly and easily. Very good impi stout
