3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
This was an immensely likeable beer. It appeared hazy orange with a white head. Aromas of fresh grapefruit and orange peel hoppiness. Indeed, it smelled like a bit of toast spread thickly with Seville orange marmalade which was evident in both aroma and flavour. It seemed to be much more bitter than most English ales I have tasted (a good thing in no small measure), it was tart and refreshing and a bit of a treat.
I was going to say it was like Thornbridge Jaipur, but it was better than that.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap @Mad for Beer (Rome). Light amber, a bit unclear, with a medium off white foam. Aroma is grapefruit, lemon and peach, some pine and floral notes. Flavour is well balanced, medium to heavy bitterness, dry and clean, easy to drink, a perfect US pale ale with an english touch (that is, elegance!). Low body, medium carbonation. I could drink it all night!

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Amber with a large white head that lasts well. Aroma of pineapple, mandarins, lime leaf, grapefruit, pine needles. Medium carbonation, creamy texture. Juicy and fruity but not very sweet. Hay and a mixture tropical and citrus fruit, pine creeps up towards a fairly bitter and dryish finish.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
500mL bottle (BB: 3.1.15). Pours a golden sunset hue with a big white head and a very fragrant piney/fruity aroma. Lots of grassey resinous pine in the flavour with a balancing fruity sweetness. For 4.6% this beer is packed full of flavour, very nice.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
On Draught at the Holborn Whippet. Lovelly beer this, and possibly better draught than in the bottle to me. A pleasant hop aroma, a lovelly hoppy flavour that is well balanced and not overly citrus if that doesn’t float your boat. Also under 5% so not too pokey if you don’t want to wobble too much. Definately will be trying this again.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Nice thick white head. Rich pale amber color in the pour. Bottle conditioned, so remember to leave about 10ml at the bottom unless you like that sort of thing.
First nose is full of passion fruit and citrus. Subsequently wears a piney badge with chest out pride. Hints of malted grains that form the base for this wonderful ode to hops.
Light carbonated mouthfeel. Very solid realty foundation of rock on which to build a temple to aromatic hops. Finish is just bitter enough to remind you that alpha acids do exist and that you do love bitter hops, even if they can be evil bastards some times.
Clean aftertaste. No clingy, schmaltzy, disgustingly cloying good-byes. A nice goodnight kiss with just a hint of playful tongue.
Good night, Bristol Beer Factory, I love you!
