180513. Bottle at home. Pours black with a nice head. Aroma lactose, malts, chocolate. Slightly sweet malty taste. Very nice balance. Not Bad.

Cask at Stourbridge Beer Festival; almost black pour with tiny off white head, sweet malt aroma, creamy coffee taste vanilla sweet.

500ml bottle. Almost completely opaque with a slight ruby tinge and a small, very dark head. Aroma of toast and coffee. Coffee flavours with a little smoke. Burnt caramel and plenty of malt. This has a real treacle sweetness which is tempered by a decent amount of bitterness, though the overall flavour may be just a touch too sweet.

A fine dark colour, small frothy head, aroma of chocolate and roasted coffee, a sweet but not sickly flavour, and a great smooth mouthfeel. I want another.

Looks much as you’d expect from a stout and it has a light malty scent. It’s sweeter than I expected but it isn’t sickly for it.

500ml bottle. Aroma roasted with lactose. Appearance in glass like a stout. Taste: pleasant sweetness from lactose. Overall: an enjoyable drink.

Dan’s right, this one grows as it goes on, the taste takes hold and settles in. Like a milkshake for adults with a taste for the good stuff. Ripper.

Bottle at home. Don't normally like milk stouts but this one is very light on the lactose, so much so that it is barely noticeable, tastes of milk coffee but without the lactose cloy. Much better than I expected and a good beer overall.

Pours very black indeed with a fairly dark mocha and very thick dense head. aroma is roasted malts, sweet. Taste is sweet chocolate with a nice bitter chocolate which lingers a fair while, hint of liquorice. Thinner mouthful than I would have expected from the style but it works.
