COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
bottled, special. Part of 2012 "12 Stouts of Christmas"
With great help form the guys at Extract Coffee Roasters, we have picked out the Hope Project Peaberry Espresso from Tanzania to blend with our Stout. It has notes of bitter/sweet dark chocolate and a cherry fruitiness’.

Bottle @ Bruce’s. The pour’s deep brown with a small tan head. The aroma’s of strong coffee, hazelnut, a bit of toast. The taste is more of the same. Simple roasted coffee, rich chocolate cake. A bit of raisin. Medium body, fine carbonation. Overall, solid.

BBE 26.10.2013 - Pours pitch black with a bubbly brown head. Aroma of roasty malts, milky chocolate notes, coffee and hints of espresso, berries and vegetables. Taste is smooth, mildly roasty and chocolatey with notes of cocoa, espresso, coffee and berries. Finish is slightly watery but strong with espresso notes, hints of milky chocolate, berries and mocha. Okay, quite tasty, although a bit light bodied coffee stout.

Bottle T Bruce’s, London - big thanks to Jack! Pours dark brown with a fine, creamy beige head. Yeah, tons of rich mocha in the nose, lots of Dunkin’ Donuts coffee, some milk chocolate. Medium sweet flavor, light tangy semi-dark malts, filter coffee, bit of milk chocolate. Medium bodied with fine to lively carbonation. Plenty of lightly dry mocha to finish, more filter coffee, light earthy bitterness, bits of milk chocolate, some dirt. Decent overall, lots of mocha character. Not too bad.

A well made beer, poured black with a mocha head of course, and the aroma was as expected. It tasted of cold coffee and had an astringent dry finish.
