SilkTork (3959), Rochester, Kent, England May 27, 2007 Cambridge Fest Pleasant malty bitter with twiggy notes from the hops. and a touch of licorice and hint of coffee from the crystal malt. A well put together beer in nice condition. Lingering twang. Some fruit in the middle. Very drinkable.
cgarvieuk (2797), Edinburgh, Scotland Oct 3, 2008 Bottle at home ... redish amber ... light sweet fruity hop nose ... nice sweet hop ... light fruit mellow ... little light vanilla ...medium body ... light carbonation with a little rough edge. evilsoc (190), Wales May 23, 2008 Apples and malty grain in the aroma. Very fruity but a little thin. Lightly hopped, quite nice. harrisoni (5605), Ashford, Kent, England Feb 11, 2008 Cask gravity at Battersea BF 08. Chestnut with lasting beige head. Looks in good nick. That’s alright. It’s a best bitter, decent berry fruit. It’s actually pretty good considering the 4 beers that went before. Mind you I did get bored with the English beers after this one and went onto the Germans. downender (1785), Bristol, Gloucestershire, England Apr 29, 2007 Updated: Aug 12, 2007Pasteurised bottle. An ok bottled beer which was amber in colour and poured with a slight head. There was some malt in the aroma and the flavour was red fruit with some hops in the finish. The Bristol Beer Factory has improved over time.
