Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, toffee, butter, english licorice. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Reddish amber with white head. fruity malty bitter of the irish Red type. Full fruity, blackberry, apple with good toasty biscuit malts. Not bad at all. Dedoulequeen07 (65), glasgow, Scotland Jun 10, 2007 Cask at the 3 judges. Poursa a deep blood red with good white lacing and next to nill head. Fills the nose with bitter dark chcolate and toffe with small hints of cappicino but no coffee. Tatste is of rich roasted malts , caramel and hints of nutty wood with a dry finish. Good bristol beer. Taste is roasty a bit chalky, alright but the roastyness is anoying.
