3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
From the bottle. Pours slightly cloudy amber, nice head and well carbonated. Grassy lightly hoppy aroma. If I’d tasted this blind I’d swear this was a wheat beer ... has citrus peel and a bit of sourness before a gentle bitterness at the end. Jolly good stuff.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from Gardiners & Haskins, Bristol. Golden in colour with a decent, lacy white head. Sweetish aroma of apricot, cut grass and peppery hops. Flavour had some slightly yeasty stone fruits, cereal malts and a touch of honey, before a moderately bitter, vaguely spicy finish, with some warming alcohol. Good.

Bottle @ Caley, Edinburgh 171012 BBF Tap Takeover
Orange, hazy, frothy white head
Aroma - soft cereal, light sour, nice pale fruit aroma, soft apricot, some funk
Taste - soft sourness, wheat, nice spicy cereal malts, soft farmyard, light hay, smooth flavour, good saison
Palate - soft carb, thinnish body. Finish as main flavour, smooth, refreshing, little creamy
Overall - I thought this was a nice example of a saison
