500ml bottle from Ales by Mail
BBE 27/11/13 - Pours dark orange with a small white head. Aroma of stingy hops, hints of floral notes, fruits, grass and pine. Taste is grassy and hoppy with notes of gooseberries, citrus, fruits and floral notes. Finish is dry and bitter with lots of gooseberries and grassy hops. Quite hoppy and grassy, but feels like its already past its prime and not very fresh.

Pours hazy dark amber color with a large white head. Aroma of pine needles, nice floral hop profile, some mandarin and lemon with some refreshing grassy notes. Flavor is also quite refreshing with citrus fruits, subtle caramel malts and goose berries. Crisp bitter palate with a fruity finish. Good stuff.

The white wine cask aged version of this is great. The original is good but the wine cask does it for me.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 lusikka (4046) - Tampere, FINLAND - APR 19, 2013
500 ml bottle.
Pours a cloudy orange amber colour with a white lacy head. Aroma is very, very exciting; strong orange, floral hops and passion fruit. Flavour of strong floral hops, grapefruit, exotic fruits, biscuity malts and some mild sweetness. Medium bodied, slick mouthfeel and a very bitter, floral and fruity finish. Excellent stuff.
4.8 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20 kipz (1) - Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - APR 15, 2013 does not count
One of the tastiest IPA’s I’ve tasted in years, and brewed in my favorite city, Bristol, UK - not sure why it’s said to be brewed by American craft brewers?
3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 rjkreid (190) - SCOTLAND - APR 13, 2013
Floral and grassy hop character which is a more classic in nature than the ’inspired by American beer’ rhetoric would lead you to believe. Still a nice smooth brew that hides the booze and has a light body reminiscent of a session beer.
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Graham77 (86) - Glasgow, SCOTLAND - APR 12, 2013
500ml bottle. Aroma is primarily fresh pine from the hops. The flavour has some spice, grass and caramel sweetness. An impressive take on the American style of IPA.
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 ACD (337) - Dublin, IRELAND - APR 12, 2013
50cl bottle. Pours hazy amber/orange with thin but lasting white head. Aroma packs a punch with plenty of pineapple and mango in there as well as a good dose of pithy citrus and light pine resin. Touch of sweet malt on the nose too. Taste is deliciously hop-forward, with orange, pithy bitter grapefruit, lime, and pineapple all combining together. Some pine resin in there, and a generous (but not overpowering) helping of semi-sweet malt. Fairly juicy tropical finish to it. Medium/full mouthfeel. Lingering, powerful pithy grapefruit and pine bitterness. So bloody good.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Osprey87 (536) - London via, WALES - MAR 30, 2013
Cold bottle. Drinkable, sessionable, floral pale ale. Not much fruit. Nice level of bitterness.
