Inspired by the amazing hoppy beers being brewed by American craft brewers this beer is heavily hopped, packing it with tropical fruit flavours and aromas. Pineapple, passion fruit & grapefruit are the dominant features of this beautiful amber ale, that has a big strong malt backbone to balance out all the hops.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Deep golden colour with a thick off white head. Aroma deep orange, and clementine, marmalade, and pine. Taste starts light sweet, and long deep bittersweet to bitter finish. refreshing tang to the body.

Bottle from Waitrose, Gordano M5 services near Bristol. Clear amber coloured with a very thin head. Full fruity pale ale with a hoppy dryness behind this, but always flavoursome and full of character.

Bottle. Pours light amber. Aroma of grapefruit, pine, grass and tropical fruits. Taste has some light sweetness with a fairly heavy bitter finish. An enjoyable and good representation of the style.

Cask. Maltings, York. Amber colour. Light haze. Dense, creamy, lasting, milky white head. Huge, juicy, fruity, dank hop. Notes of ripe peach. Melon. Pine resin. Some strawberry. Sweet, toffee malts in the background. Smells fantastic. Taste sets off sweet, getting fruity, resinous bitter. Smooth, hop oily mouthfeel. A bit chewy. Long, resinous, oily bitter finish. Great stuff. Can’t help thinking it’d be a 4.6er if it was kegged, though!

Pours hazy amber with a nice big frothy cream head. Sweet caramel and mango aroma. The taste has fruity mango and pine, especiallly in the bitter finish. Nice full mouthfeel. Good beer.

Fra fat på Piccadilly Tap 15 Feb 16. Delt med Rune. Gyldenbrun. Skum langs glasset. Lett ferskenaroma. Smaken det samme. Bra - men vel søt.

Cask ale, half, shared with Finn while waiting for a train at Piccadilly Tap. Near-clear amber coloured body, covering beige layer, fair lacing. Restrained aromas of caramel, dried fruit and grass. Fruity taste of lemony hops and grapefruit backed by malty sweetness. Dry bitter end with a twist of citrus shells. Fine bodied. Pleasing stuff (Manchester 15.02.2016).

Full of powerful malty flavour. One pint is never enough... Still my favourite strong hopped IPA.
