COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Inspired by the amazing hoppy beers being brewed by American craft brewers this beer is heavily hopped, packing it with tropical fruit flavours and aromas. Pineapple, passion fruit & grapefruit are the dominant features of this beautiful amber ale, that has a big strong malt backbone to balance out all the hops.

My Bottom Line:
Pink grapefruit pulp is calmly sprinkled onto flower petals before letting this American-style IPA get awash in coniferous bitterness.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A lofty head of foam settles atop the veiled amber.
-Malts support here, but donít do much more. This is a hop showcase of a brew.
-The mouthfeel is not trying to emulate that of a caskís.
-The body is lean and the carbonation frothy.
-Aroma is not enticing enough for a US-style IPA.
-Hop flavours could be brighter.

Bottle.

500ml bottle. Dark orangey golden colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Fruity hoppy aroma has notes of grapefruit, passion fruit, hints of pine apple. Taste is bitter and fruity hoppy, cirusy, also slightly peppery yeasty, slightly weak caramel malty basis..

Bottle. Pours a hazy orange body, with an average white head that diminishes fairly quickly, leaving a good lace. Very nice tropical aroma, along with a medium to heavy bitter taste. Light to almost no bitter aftertaste. Medium to heavy carbonation level, a bit excessive Iíd say, oily texture, medium body. A very nice, honest, straightfoward IPA.

Bottle, at The Local Pub, in Athens. Floral notes, some grapefruit and loads of hoppiness. Astringent, bitter aftertaste. A very drinkable tribute to American IPAs.

Amber, fluffy off-white head. Aroma: strong citrus (grapefruit, lime) notes, tropical fruit juice, hint of caramel. Taste: astringent citrus hop notes, faint maltiness in the finish. Medium bodied. Clean drinking, well balanced IPA.

500ml bottle from Ales by Mail

BBE 27/11/13 - Pours dark orange with a small white head. Aroma of stingy hops, hints of floral notes, fruits, grass and pine. Taste is grassy and hoppy with notes of gooseberries, citrus, fruits and floral notes. Finish is dry and bitter with lots of gooseberries and grassy hops. Quite hoppy and grassy, but feels like its already past its prime and not very fresh.

50 cl bottle. BBE 27.11.2013.
Pours hazy dark amber color with a large white head. Aroma of pine needles, nice floral hop profile, some mandarin and lemon with some refreshing grassy notes. Flavor is also quite refreshing with citrus fruits, subtle caramel malts and goose berries. Crisp bitter palate with a fruity finish. Good stuff.
