Inspired by the amazing hoppy beers being brewed by American craft brewers this beer is heavily hopped, packing it with tropical fruit flavours and aromas. Pineapple, passion fruit & grapefruit are the dominant features of this beautiful amber ale, that has a big strong malt backbone to balance out all the hops.

From bottle at Nærbøfestivalen 13. Pours dark cloudy golden with a small white head. Aroma of piney and fruity hops, inviting. Taste is fruity, apricot and grapefruit, crisp and fresh, well balanced and tasty IPA.

Tap at Draft House tower bridge. Pours clear full orange with a small white head leaving some good lacing. Nose is full of very tropical - passionfruit, mango, lychee. Alludes to an underlying bitterness. I like it. Taste has light banana with tropical fruits especially focused on lychee. Not overly sweet with a balanced bitterness to it which is slight but a nice enough kick. Nice stuff

500 ml bottle conditioned, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 6.5%. Deep orange to amber colour, moderate off-white head. Very nice aroma of fruity and piney hops, notes of tropical fruits. Distinctly hoppy flavour throughout, tropical fruits and grapefruit, resin and a solid bitterness in the finish, but not too extreme. There is a decent malty backbone to support the hoppiness - a well balanced IPA in my book, can easily compete with most of its American counterparts.

Lovely aroma, as you would expect. Pretty good, but just not enough malt to balance the bitterness. Malt balance is non existent. Typically British interpretation of a US style which forgets to pile on the malt to give a beer real balance and real complexity. More like a British interpretation of a West Coast pale ale. Still good but to my taste needs more.

A true example of a west coast IPA. Massive resinous hop aroma and palate. One of my favourite beers.

Pours dark amber like an imperial. Nice head. Good rings. Aroma of tropical fruits - mango, peach, citrus. Not sweet on the tongue. More refined. Nice bitterness, not too sharp. Medium carbonation which heightens the dry aftertaste but it’s not too dry to take away from overall balance. Good body, not quite full bodied but getting there. Oily texture. Really nice beer. Well balanced.

Lovely soft hazy orange pour with long lasting slim head. Soft citrus and pleasant tropical fruit aromas of mango and orange with mild spicy hops, although not as pungent and pleasing as some of the competition. Good smoth tingling carbonation that pairs nicely with the smooth body. Initial brief malt sweetness followed by hints of mango and citrus, however lacking the boldness one would hope for. Lingering dry resinous bitterness.

Bottle from a friend (Portersteken). Hoppy and flowery smell. Similar taste. Noticeable but mellow bitterness. Nice thirst quencher during a hot day.

Bottle at Evening Star, Brighton. It pours cloudy golden orange with a thick white head. The nose is orange, passion fruit, tangerine, mango and juicy pine. The taste is juicy orange, tangerine, grapefruit, earthy, dough, straw, crisp bitterness and juicy pine with a lingering dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Really rather delicious! Well done BBF!

500ml bottle from drink store. Slightly watery amber pour, rocky off white head, lasting. Resiny hop, spruce, tropical fruits and a little biscuit malt in the nose. Flavour is more summer fruits, mellow, with a decent hop kick. Soft mouthfeel, low carbonation. Finish is resin hops. Really well balanced. Lovely and fresh too.
