3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Fruity, autumnal nose with some blackcurrant and cherry and a hint of sour candy. Pours a full-bodied amber-brown with a hint of red in the foamy head. The flavour adds hop depth and bitterness to the fruity characters with notes of grapefruit, aromatic herbs and a touch of blackcurrant cough sweet. Finishes nicely dry and refreshingly moreish.

Bottle 500ml (AbM)
Dark amber-copper color, good creamy beige head, good lacing. Caramalt and fruity hoppyness in the nose. Medium-bodied. Front has some caramelt, then nice piney hoppyness with hints of citrus. Decent backing malts. Ok beer for this style and certainly very little British in this one.

Bottle, at Nærbø Ølfestival 2013. A clear, amber colored beer with a greenish touch. A dense, off-white head of finger-thick size on top. Hoppy nose with citrus peel and some pale malts. The flavor has some citrus peel, as well as bitterness and pale malts. Dry on the palate, with a nice carbonation. Pleasant citrusy and bitter finish. A quite nice one, but nothing extraordinary going on. 131019

Dark ruby bright red. Aroma is malty and some dark fruit. Taste is sweetish malt and some underlying hops, malts are the star here though. Good body. Some alcohol. OK but wouldn’t write a letter.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
500 ml bottle conditioned, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 5.5%. Deep reddish brown colour, moderate off-white head. Lovely aroma of fruity hops, notes of red berries and citrus, some malts in the background. The flavour is hoppy and fruity throughout, but the bittering hops are fairly moderate. Still a nice bitterness in the aftertaste. Also notes of lightly toasted malts, hints of caramel and burnt bread crumbs. A well balanced and very tasty beer.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle at Evening Star, Brighton. It pours clear red-amber with a thick beige head. The nose is earthy, wood, resin, red berry, resinous and light barnyard. The taste is earthy, pine, red berry, good bitterness, leaf and resin with a dry, bitter finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. As "red ale"s go this is top notch.
