4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Cletus (6187) - Connecticut, USA - MAY 5, 2006
Bottle provided by beerandblues2:
Poured into a Raftman tulip glass. Pours cloudy copper with a creamy tan head. Smells of citrus, yogurt, flowers, perfume and hay. Tastes malty and sweet with some citrussy undertones. Finshes of sweet oranges and malt. Mouthfeel is sugary.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Rastacouere (6058) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - FEB 17, 2008
Objectively speaking:
An drop in the sea of American IPAs.
I like:
Sedimented golden. Nice foam. Tropical notions. Bready pale malts, not too much crystals.
I dislike:
Atrocious label. Strong citric bitterness blend with yeastiness. Simplicity. Rough edges.

on tap, amber brown with dense tan foam, nutty caramel and pine aroma, flavor of refined pineapple with a smooth malty finish, no metallic bitterness or off flavors
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 Ernest (5646) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - OCT 28, 2002
UPDATED: APR 2, 2005 Draught, Bristol Brewpub, Colorado Springs. Head is mostly lasting. Body is medium amber. Aroma is moderately hoppy (grapefruit, flowers, orange, apricot), lightly malty (cookie, caramel), with a note of peach. Flavor is moderately sweet, moderately acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, moderately bitter, moderately acidic. Medium body, velvety texture, lively carbonation. Re-rate on CO2 instead of nitro, and though noticeably better, still not quite my thing.
3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Glouglouburp (5613) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - FEB 21, 2008
In short: A yeasty IPA. Well hopped but seriously lacking on the malt front
How: Bottle 22oz, consumed 2 months after receiving it from BeerandBlues2 (thanks a lot Brad!). Shared at a tasting session with Montreal crew
The look: Cloudy orange body with a small white head.
In long: Fluffy body with a strong yeast presence. Decent hop profile with flavours of orange peels, citrus skin and citric notes. Medium bitterness. All that is good but that beer has as much malts as I have class, and man was I proud of that big smelly fart that I let go at that tasting session. Funny stuff.
3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Rciesla (5499) - Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA - JUL 4, 2008
Bottle an extra in a trade. Pours a dark amber body with 2 finger off white head. Aroma is sweet honey pine, soft hoppy floral aroma. Flavor is sweet pine honey but a good malt backbone that i’m digging as hoppy as it is. This works and the etoh isn’t overbearing, a good citrus fruit flavor as well. Solid beer easy drinking. A perfect session ipa, i really like it.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 riversideAK (5458) - Shoreline, Washington, USA - MAR 26, 2010
Bottle from Josh. THanks! Nose is floral and lightly citrus with doughy malt notes and a hint of caramel. Pours hazy golden orange with a thin non lasting head. The flavor is rather subdued mix of citrus, floral hops, dough, and caramel malt. Lightly bitey hop finish. Would like to try this on draught as I can see it being a completely different experience.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 after4ever (5358) - Brier, Washington, USA - APR 21, 2008
22. Pours crystal clear coppery medium amber with towering, thick, massively surging, fluffy white head and thick sheets of lace coming down the glass as it settles. Easily a 5:1 fluff:beer ratio on first pour. Piney hops, crackers, a little bit of staleness due to diacetyl. Medium body, moderate carb. Biscuit, oranges, and a brief flash of resin near the end comprise the mid-palate. Mild resin and orange pith finish. Decent.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Cornfield (5276) - Oak Forest, Illinois, USA - NOV 10, 2004
FOBAB 2004, there called Edge City Old World IPA, "English IPA dry-hopped and aged in English oak." It poured a hazy copper color with a foamy off-white head. The aroma was predominantly of floral hops and a bit of smokiness, prhaps from the aging. It’s a very tasty IPA with a solid malt backbone and some good floral, citric, and earthy hoppiness. Nice bitter finish.
3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 beerguy101 (5206) - Newark, California, USA - OCT 7, 2012
Sampled on 10/7/2012. This India Pale Ale pours a medium orange gold color from a 12oz bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is fruity and sweet, citrusy and grapefruity. A medium bodied India Pale Ale. The malts are fruity and sweet. The hops are citrusy and grapefruity and a touch piney. Decent carbonation. A fairly bitter IPA with a a whole lot of lingering hop bitterness. Nice IPA. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is mostly bitter.
