COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bristol Brewing Company proudly announce the graduation of Edge City IPA to six packs and confer upon it the name of Bristol’s Compass IPA! This is an ale with zip. Our IPA brings together copious amounts of Columbus, Chinook and Cascade hops in a tasty combination that lingers through the finish and beyond. Big hop flavor with malt in a nice supporting role.

Finished second to Yellow Kite as my favorite beer of this sampler pack. Very nice IPA but not at the top of my favorites. Something I really enjoyed was the blending of the bitter/grapefruit/malt/hop concoction. Again, this is a beer I would recommend others give a try.

Tap pour at O'Malleys in Palmer Lake, CO. From a nitrous tap. Creamy and smooth obviously from the nitrous, interesting combo with the IPA. Not much aroma through the creamy head, but taste is buttery, nutty malts on a solid bitter hop base. Good IPA.

Bottle pours a clear copper with a caramel white head. Aroma of citrus, spice, malt, and pine. Flavor is a light sweetness, caramel, citrus, some spice, and a medium bitter finish.

July 2012. Bottle. Caramel aromas with some pine and hope. Orange color with a white head. Fruit, spice and floral flavors. A bit of hops on the finish. Not bad at all.

12oz. Bottle. Pours golden amber with a lightly frothy head. Aroma is somewhat robust but not overwhelming, the taste and palate is refreshing with hoppy Devine flavors. A very respectable craft beer from the people in Colorado Springs. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Pours orange with a slightly off white head. Flowery and earthy hops, a little bit of harsh astringency, and sweet toffee malts. A little rough around the edges.

Aroma is hoppy with some maltiness. Pours a cloudy golden color with decent off white head. Taste is hoppy but not over powering. Finishes dry and crisp with a hint of bitterness. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Good IPA all around with piney aromas, nice pour, standout bittering backbone with hints of honey; more full-bodied than expected on the mouth

Pint at the brewery. I beg to differ on the big hop flavor with malt in a supporting role claim. I can tell this is an IPA because the hops do impart a grassy bitterness, but never really come to life. The flavor has notes of creamed corn and chalk, subtracting from a satisfying hop experience. Finish is tame.

Bottle pour. Set off by particlulate in the beer! About an 8 month bottle doing a little extra fermentation in the bottle. Looked at the rest of the six pack I got, all had sediment in the bottom. Once I got past the sediment, the aroma was honey and hops, flavor was pleasant with pine and hops, finish was clean. Just watch out for sediment and pour the last half inch out if you find it.
