RSRIZZO (955), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA Jan 25, 2008 Had on tap at Old Chicago. Aroma is a nice hoppy scent. Color is deep amber with low carbonation and a big very thick tight head. Bold malt body with a peppery hop flavor and a mild bitterness. Ends with a dry nuttiness. Bitterness seems to grow a bit as you drink it. Its a good brew but not as bitter as I thought it would be and the hops come across too peppery. BeerandBlues2 (2411), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA Jan 20, 2008 Draught at brewery. Pours clear dark brown with a small, fizzy, light brown head, mostly diminishing with spare lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (bread, nutty), heavy hops (flowers, pine, spruce), average yeast (dough) with notes of cola. Medium bodied, thin texture, soft carbonation, and a bitter finish. Long duration, light sweetness, moderate acidity and bitterness.
