Headbanger (890), Aurora, Illinois, USA Jan 28, 2008 22oz bomber(courtesy of RSRIZZO)-A dark brown body with a decent tan head that dissipated into a small covering over the beer. Aroma of malty sweetness and that about it. Taste on this medium to full bodied brew comes across with faint malt that grows stronger throughout the mouthful and ends with a nutty taste. Definitely hides the alcohol very well. I think a great tasting beer. Another great brew from Bristol. packmatt (3), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA does not count Dec 30, 2007 Great beer, would like to see it picked up as a regular at Bristol. seems that it sold out way too fast. BDR (1846), Roseville, Minnesota, USA Nov 23, 2007 dDark brown body with brownish head. A nutty characteristic on the malty nose. A little pine on the finish and faint chocolate and nuts on the lightly roasted malt body. RSRIZZO (941), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA Sep 23, 2007 Had this beer on 7/25/2007. Aroma is full of pine with a nice roasted scent. Color is a bright amber with good carbonation and a nice tight head. Taste is bold and hoppy. Starting with a full body it goes down with a rich feel. Finish comes in with a sweet malt feel then has a strong raw hop flavor and mild bitterness, on the very end there is a slight hint of a dry nut taste. Its interesting, reminds me a bit of Arrogant Bastard only not as complex, but there is no nut taste unless roasted pine nuts taste like raw hops. General_Gao (2297), Iowa City, Iowa, USA Sep 10, 2007 Draft at The Falling Rock in Denver. Poured a clear dark brown color with orange highlights. Head was off white. Smelled of chocolate and a #2 pencil. Toffee and toasted bread aromas also came out as it warmed up a bit. Slightly sweet on the tongue with a definite roasty/smoky note. Makes me wonder if the nuts were roasted before they were added. There were also hints of brown sugar, bacon, and molasses. Not bad. Nice to try a brown ale with a little something-something.
