cb (810), Wheat Ridge, Colorado, USA Jul 13, 2005 On tap at the brewery. Filtered golden sunshine. Quickly dissapating head, remnants linger. Faint soft herbal aroma. Overly tangy yeasty flavor, somewhat soapy. Becomes acrid as it warms. Sharp, slightly wheaty finsh with a definite prickly edge.
BDR (1984), Roseville, Minnesota, USA Oct 5, 2008 a light straw yellow color. With faint pure white head. Crisp sweet malt aroma. Sligh bite in a light yeaty body. A bit of a metallic finish. jcr (910), Jasper, Indiana, USA Aug 26, 2008 Draft at Kinfolk Mountain Outfitters. Manitou Springs, Colorado. So the outside of the store says it is an outfitters and, sure enough, there is outfitter gear in the windows. But when I walked in to check out mountainwear and such, I found that half the store is a bar with some decent beers available on tap and by the bottle. I opted for a beer instead of a fleece. Clear light gold pour with a thin head. The aroma was lightly malty (grain and bread) and lightly hoppy (grass and flowers). The flavor was lightly sweet and lightly bitter. The bitterness asserted itself a little more in the finish. Light, smooth body with a watery texture. Lively carbonation. Clean and crisp. Nice summer session beer. lb4lb (1605), Austin, Texas, USA Aug 24, 2008 Pours a golden color with a filmy light head. Smell is mild and lightly malty and simple. Taste is lightly hoppy and mildly crisp. Mostly smooth with light pale malt flavors. Overall, pretty thin, but not the worst kolsch I’ve had, by any means, either. Drinkable. BeerandBlues2 (2678), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA Jul 20, 2005 Draught. Pours hazy yellow to gold with virtually no head. Sweet yeast and lemon hop aroma with a light malt, grain, nose. Lemon and bread-yeast flavor with a floral citrus finish. Light bodied and crisp, refreshing.
