Pours brown with a red hue and a small tan head. Smells of nuts, sweet malt, dark fruit, some chocolate. Tastes of tarte cherries, roses, sweet malt, some hints of peat on the finish.

750 ml bottle poured a hazy reddish amber with a minimal quickly dissapatig amber head. Aromas of prunes, carmel, light cocoa and sourness. Palate was light bodied crisp and sour. Flavors of sour apple, carmel, light cocoa and a hint of spice with a crisp lingering sour finish.<br /> This bottle is obviously past it’s prime. Oh well!

3rd Rating from 3rd Annual Woodshop tasting in Temple City, CA. 3/1/08. One hell of a day put on by Cquiroga, thanks for a killer day Chris. Also spent the day there with bikesanbeer, my girlfriend Cyn, wetherel, JohnC, DenverLogan, dirty martini, jasparg, DrBil, IPAFiend, awaisanen and many others, this was one crazy day. 2004 bottle. Porus brown with an off head. Nose is sweet and sweet and sweet. Taste is sweet and sour awesome. Nothing on the style, but a beer on its own it was great.

2004 btl. Brown, small head. Sour malt aroma and taste...big funky fruit, tart, persimmon, some bitterness...sweetness is about gone by now but years ago it was significant. Very rich and tart with some bitter notes at the finish...minimum hops, big brett. It’s a triple no mo.

Had this beer on 1/2/2005. Aroma is very rich and sweet. Color is a deep clear orange/brown. Crabonation is very low with almost no head. Taste is sweet, rich and solid. Starting off with a full heavy body it goes down strong and flat. Finish comes on sweet with a rich malt flavor and mild fruit tones. It reminds me of a Barley Wine. I think it was too flat, but it is tasty.
