From a 12 oz bottle into a Mad Elf tulip glass. Pours brown with small head and lace. Aroma of caramel malts, malt balls. Medium carbonation and mouthfeel. Flavors of amber malts, caramel, minerals, peat, young melon. Overall flavorful although light on the malt, but not bad.

A basic Scottish ale. A little nutty which adds more to the mouthfeel and smoothness. It’s sweet and light, not rich at all.

Notes from recent Denver trip: Light brown pour, creamy off white head. Nose is malt. Bittersweet. Middle is soft caramel malt, bready notes. Finish is smooth malt.

Mild aroma of raisin and malt. Standard burnt bronze color. Light palate and too watery. Bland flavors with caramel standing out a bit. Almost Scottish Light.

Draft at the brewpub. Pours clear bright copper brown with a fizzy off white head. Tastes like caramel, nutty, roasted malt, and sweet citrus hops. Light/medium body and carbonation. Smells like roasted malt, caramel, nutty, a hint of vinegar, and citrus hops.

12 oz. bottled March 2015. Pours clear chestnut brown with a lasting film of cream. Mild aromas of cherry cola, toasted nut and cocoa with a slight earthy note. Tastes of caramel cola, cocoa, and cherry. Light-medium body is a little too sweet even for the style.

Fun to have again...since we had a keg at our wedding many years ago. Decent simple Scottish. Amber colored. Caramel and roasted malt forward. A little sweet and thin, but drinkable.
