True amber with a hint of a head. Light malt aroma. Very Festbier-like character ... caramel, mostly, with a roasty finish.

Light hoppy aroma. Malt flavor is harsh and grainy. Hop flavor is thinnish and reedy. Thin bodied, with a mercifully brief finish.

2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
AMber color with a quickly diminished ecru head. Malt house aromas, along with brown sugar and molassas. Starts thick, sweet and malty. Ends thin, bitter, acidic and astringent. Nothing in the linger makes you want to have any more.

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
UPDATED: MAR 31, 2008 Pours a deep amber with a tan head that dissipates quickly. Aroma is grassy and sweet. Complex malt flavor that is in my opinion unbalanced. This is definitely a brew for "maltmouths".

Very good beer I stumbled on while stationed here in Colorado Springs, where it’s brewed. The mini kegs you can get kick ass.

’Mellow, effortless, groovy. Enjoy!’ as it says. Holds pretty true. This beer has some excellent malt characteristics; subtly sweet, wholesome, rich, earthy and complete. Slightly fruity (apple?). Soft, smooth, and painfully easy to drink; excellent. Missing a little carbonation and hops, but they were overlooked because the malt was so enjoyable.
