Commercial Description:
Red Rocket is lively and up front, with a malt-inspired body and a crisp finish. Its character comes from a blend of Perle, Willamette and Cascade hops. Dry hopped with Cascade for a refreshing aroma.

This is a good APA but tasted much better at the brewery than it does in the bottle. The hop character is aggresive for a pale ale but it’s to my liking.

Pours sparkling amber with a moderate, white, pillowy head which leaves a very small layer and minimal lace. Nose is typical of poor APA’s with sweat, grass, faint cookie, and light citrus. Flavor is much of the same; sweat, wet grass, a little herbal, and faint pine with some sweet bread notes. Palate is lively, light to medium, and watery. Finishes quickly with wet grass and faint sweet breads. Bitterness is moderately light n this boring APA. Nothing too remarkable here.

Bottle. Pours a very hazy orange-tinted amber with a moderate dense yellow-tinted head. Very pleasing aromas of fresh lychees and subtle spice. Lovely balance of sweet alt and fruity aromatic hops (lychee, melon) with a finish that s quite quenching and surprisingly low on bitterness. A real treat!

This along with the Laughing Lab was easily the best brew that I had on my visit to Colorado Springs several years back. A very light and smooth session beer with not a ton of flavor to it, but just enough to get the job done. Solid effort by these guys.

Draft at brewery. Small, off-white head atop a medium amber body. The aroma has notes of cookie, grapefruit and resin. Some pine in the background. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. The finish turns moderately bitter. Medium body with a watery texture. Ample carbonation. OK. And just OK, yet easy to drink. Why not go for one of Bristol’s IPA’s instead of this?

Pours a very light amber color. Smell is smooth and fruity and of mild hops. Taste is dusty, biscuity malt and hops are light and fruity. Some light yeast flavor is present too. Mild bitterness and a smooth, drinkable beer. Not bad.
