hopdog (4950), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA Mar 22, 2006 12oz bottle. Poured a deeper and cloudy amber color with an averaged sized off white head. Lots of small floaters. Aromas of some flowers, light caramel, and cookie dough. Tastes of cookie dough, caramel, oranges and some citrus. Body on the thinner side. acrdz (4535), Boulder, Colorado, USA Jan 29, 2005 Amber colored with a lot of floating particles. Malt aroma has some cherry and plum notes, mostly an old grain smell. Thick, malty, sweet red ale type texture and flavor... there are definitly some nut flavors hidden beneath the semi-sweet, oily cedar flavors. Buttered nuts, perhaps is more accurate. Light cedar and toffee hop finish, marginal bitterness. I prefer an APA to contain more citrus flavors and be a little more hopped, but this try is not that bad. Drinkable and tasty. JPDIPSO (4397), Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA Aug 26, 2002 I wish I liked Cascade a bit more than I do. Tons of white pine cascade hops aroma. Slightly hazy amber color with a moderate head. Light bodied with sharp hops bitterness coupled with a light malt sweetness. Thinkens a bit as it warms, but still quite thin. Finishes with a slight astringency and hay light dryness. Great aroma but lacks in body to be a really good APA. Ernest (4322), Boulder, Colorado, USA Jun 12, 2003 Updated: Aug 16, 2007Bottle (May 07 bottling). Head is initially small, frothy, off-white, mostly diminishing. Body is medium amber. Aroma is lightly malty (wort, cookie), lightly to moderately hoppy (resin), moderately yeasty (dough, sweat). Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter, husky. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Very bland and boring. Slightly worty aroma and lots of raw yeast stink, as with many of Bristol’s year-round brews. jcwattsrugger (4272), Florida and, New Jersey, USA Sep 28, 2005 on tap-pours a thin off white head, color is clear amber. Aroma is hops. Taste is hop & malty, a nice balance. This was one of Bristol’s better beers.
